I needed an 8-ohm speaker to fix an old CB walkie-talkie. Decades ago, I would have just gone to the local Radio Shack and get one. These speakers were used in many consumer devices at the time. These days, they're harder to casually come by. But I knew what size and capacity I needed for the replacement speaker. These speakers seemed to fit the bill.After receiving them, I put one of them in the walkie-talkie and it worked quite well. Incidentally, they were all packaged tightly nested with each other, which is why I dropped a star in the rating. I personally don't recommend storing speakers that way as it can cause the cones to get bent, crushed, or torn. However, they all arrived safely without any apparent physical damage.At 0.5w power capacity, they're NOT going to be useful for loud music. But for a device that is intended for vocal communications, it was perfect for replacing the original speaker in the walkie-talkie. It sounded great and fit well in the original speaker's mounting slot.I'm sure I'll come across other devices I need to fix (a hobby of mine) which may use the same speakers. I'll certainly look to buy more of them when I run out of this supply.

It is an oK little speaker. Sound quality is not very good.

The ohms resistance is correct for a Volvo semi truck low air pressure warning. However, the physical size is bigger. You can't exactly mount on the gauge cluster computer board, but with a little wire and soldering skill you can make it work.

I searched on 2-1/2†speakers and these came up. I didn’t notice the 57mm which is more like 2â€. They’ll do but they’re not what I expected. If dimensions or specs are important confirm they match. The engine is not good about details and buries good results in the middle of bad ones. Not the seller’s fault; the engine has a hidden agenda.

I bought this because I wanted a magnetic cone speaker for the internal speaker/beeper instead of a typical piezo buzzer. I soldered it to a couple of lead wires and plugged it into my motherboard and it works absolutely perfectly!
