6061 T6 Aluminum
- 6061 aluminum has high strength and hardness, corrosion resistance, weldability, and long-lasting durability.
- T6 heat treating - With quenching and artificially aged for increasing strength and meeting standard mechanical property requirements.
- Commonly used in industry, buildings, home furnishing and other industries. Great for custom fabrication projects such as handmade, frames, tags, models, crafts, fences, boat building, gardening products, etc.
5052 Aluminum
- 5052 aluminum has medium strength and hardness, corrosion resistance, weldability and long-lasting durability.
- Commonly used in industry, ships, home furnishing and sheet metal parts of other industries. Great for custom fabrication projects such as handmade, frames, tags, boat building, models, crafts, gardening products, shop fitting, etc.
3003 Aluminum
- 3003 aluminum has corrosion resistance, good weldability and workability.
- Medium strength, higher than 1xxx series aluminum. It can be cold worked (but not by heat treatment) to produce temper with a higher strength but a lower ductility.
- Commonly used in industry, ships, home furnishing and metal parts of other industries. Great for custom fabrication projects such as handmade, frames, tags, boat building, models, crafts, gardening products, etc.
1060 Aluminum
- 1060 aluminum, aluminum content is higher than 99.00%, has corrosion resistance, plasticity, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity.
- It has low mechanical strength compared to more significantly alloyed metal. It can be strengthened by cold working, but not by heat treatment.
- With good elongation and tensile strength. It can meet the conventional processing requirements(such as stamping, stretching).
- Commonly used for which is not require high strength. Especially for custom fabrication projects such as handmade, frames, tags, nameplates, crafts, gardening products, decorations, etc.

Needed 9/32 strips of 3/16 aluminum. In my haste I bought this.Not sure if its the quality of the product or the fact that its 1060 aluminum, but the cuts were terrible. Machined poorly.It was exactly 5mm though and had protective plastic. I think its just the 1060 is not suitable for what i need.

Needed 9/32 strips of 3/16 aluminum. In my haste I bought this.Not sure if its the quality of the product or the fact that its 1060 aluminum, but the cuts were terrible. Machined poorly.It was exactly 5mm though and had protective plastic. I think its just the 1060 is not suitable for what i need.
