It made the Wyze V3 zoom in a lot closer. Narrows field of view, but gains distance. I gave it 4 stars for ease to install. You have to take camera apart and break glue seal on old lens, then focus it. (Take off white ring on front, 3 small phillips screws on corners, unplug connectors holding to case. (do not pull on wires) Then remove only 2 outer screws on board. May have to unplug a connector to separate boards. You do not need to unplug the large wire. Glue is holding old lens in place, light grip with pliers and it popped then turned loose. Thread in new lens about 3 turns, then reassemble) After assembly pull up camera on phone and screw in lens to focus. There should be more than enough sticking out of case. Turning lens to focus is very coarse. A slight turn makes a big difference. I noticed the focus is good for close OR far distance. When I focused at a distance, I had to refocus when I went to a 3' range to watch my 3D printer. It may not make the camera water tight, because of lens sticking out farther than the old one. This is the second camera I installed this lens in.Like l.b. said in another review, MAKE SURE you register and get camera set up to your phone before changing. If not you can't focus it with phone and can't register (to use phone) without being in focus.FYI you do lose most of your night vision. The IR bulbs in the camera do not light up as far away as the lens picked up.

Pretty sure this is a cast lens, unpolished, glass lens. Mine copy had tons of imperfections, was extremely soft, and a tremendous amount of purple fringing.

The lens fit my Foxeer Mini Toothless 2 1200 TVL camera, M12x.5, 1/2" CMOS. It focused on the last thread of the camera body so there is no way to hold it in place. The package arrived quick and hopefully return won't be a problem. I also ordered the 8mm which should be coming soon.

Yes, I hacked my new Wyze Cam V3 to install this lens (after registering on my network). Glad I did!The picture quality is crystal clear, even at a distance of about 70 feet from my mailbox. Perfect for keeping an eye out for the curious passerby.The change increased the range of this camera by at least four times, and the lens fits perfectly. YouTube videos on the process are available, but again, be sure to register the cam on your network (do the setup routine) BEFORE you disassemble it to replace the lens, and keep in mind this voids any warranty.
