I was expecting something of lower quality than what I was replacing but this is quite a stout switch.This is "make before break" style switch (good for guitars so you don't get a 'pop' between positions). The inner two legs connect to the outer ten legs (one leg to five positions). So you could switch two things at once.There is a review noting the switch being too stiff for them - stiffness it is easily tweaked by bending the spring steel connected to the ball bearing. You could completely bend and remove the bearing to have a free flowing switch without indents if you wanted.
