I had taken a chance on this being no commenter mentioned my exact model, but it worked perfectly. I couldn't even find instructional videos on it, but fortunately one of the commenters took a picture of the inside and it was close to identical to my R9. As other commenters have mentioned, it is in fact a lot more quiet than the original speaker. But that's not a dealbreaker, especially at this price. Couldn't be happier.

So it does fit the uniden replacement speaker but it's not loud at all. The OEM stock speaker is double the loudness of this speaker. This is problematic because if you want to listen to the radio or music at high volumes you can't hear the radar at all with this speaker replacement. It's not very loud at all I don't recommend it for an OEM replacement I would keep looking and search for another product.

Used to replace speaker on a radar detector. Would have spent a few hundred dollars without knowing the speaker could just be replaced for a good price.

Fixed my Uniden radar detector. This is a less expensive option and the fix is easy. This isn't as load as the original but it is load enough.

Perfect replacement Uniden R1 extreme long range. Plug and play I just put tape to hold it in place.Works perfect. I don't notice a difference in the sound quality. Infact the oem has a baffle or felt protector over it.This doesn't and sounds just as good. Plus I have an extra incase this breaks.

Fairly simple install in my Uniden R3 radar detector. My speaker randomly went out and this replaced it and it works great! It is a bit quieter than the Uniden factory speaker but it works for me.
