Cable quality is fine its just not compatible with 3.5 inch disk drive in older PC's as someone mentioned, you need the cable with the "twist" I modified mine to work with the Gotek floppy emulator in an old Socket 7 PC. Just a heads up. It might work for you.

The cable is constructed with the pin 1 stripe on the wrong side. This is not a problem if the connector is keyed, but if you depend on the stripe to determine orientation, it will be wrong.

These were purchased to retrofit an A-drive in an older Point of sale computer which these were not compatible with. However, for what they are compatible with they are of decent quality and do the job.

Worked perfectly with an NI myRIO, which has 34-Pin IDC sockets. Was able to create a connector for the other end using spare headers I had laying around and some protoboard. Shipped in very protective packaging. No complaints at all.

Remember that twist these cables had when they where for an "a" and "b" drive? The twist is for the "a" drive. These dont have the twist so they are for the "b" drive only. I took mine apart and reassembled with the twist, which i dont recommend unless you have done it before, and now i have an "a" drive working. If it is mentioned in the ad I didnt see it.

The red coloured wire is on the wrong side of the connector so you will need to pay attention when you plug these in as pin 1 will not be the red wire, as on a normal floppy drive ribbon cable.Also - these are extension cables and will not work to replace a PC/DOS floppy drive cable - those cables need to have that funky twisted part.

Does the job it is intended to do. No twist so you may have to set the ID on your floppy drive by jumper.
