Used it to make a hot wire knife for cutting foam airplane wings. Worked great.

I bought the wire to fire with pottery to make decoration hooks and jewellery. Once it is fired it stays soft and pliable which may be good for your application but for the pottery fired to cone 6 it was soft and could bend and break off if bent a lot. It did survive a high temperature firing so depending on what you want the wire could work well for you. I will go back to buy the wire through the pottery store to get a “harder†wire once heated.
