Purchased these fuses to replace a blown thermal fuse in an old high velocity 24" fan. The fan now works again. Saved me a trip to the store to buy a new fan.The reason it blew the thermal fuse was the fan had been sitting in an attic space for 8 years not being used at all. The motor fan spindle was nearly locked up, and it blew the fuse when plugged in and turned on. Over amped trying to spin the motor. Once the fuse was replaced and the spindle freed up the fan works better than it ever did when new.

They worked for a pedestal fan I repaired. Although, I didn't know until I was writing this that they were only 2 amps. I thought I ordered 3 amps. I guess we'll see if they blow sooner than expected.

The bearings on my pedestal fan were in serious need of oiling and the thermal fuse did it's job protecting the motor. I disassembled the motor and lubed up the bearings. After soldering one of these in and reassembling it worked like new.
