Easy Operation:
Step 1: Solder the IC socket to the PCB circuit board.
Step 2: Insert the chip into the IC socket, finish.
The IC socket is the carrier between the chip and the PCB circuit board, the chip can be pulled and inserted directly without soldering to the PCB board.
Noted:
The spacing and line spacing of the connector holes must be the same as the spacing and line spacing of the chip pins.
Advantage:
When you need to install or replace the chip, directly remove the connection between the IC socket and chip, achieving the effect of saving IC cost and time.
Feature:
Great electronic component for PCB board, IC socket has strong heat resistance, it can withstand repeated welding and disassembly without damaging the chip.

These are very affordably priced sockets. I haven't tried them on on breadboard, but they work perfectly for soldering onto more permanent projects.

Pins are mostly bent in the package, good news is they are extremely malleable they don't even come close to breaking when bending them in correct alignment.

All good condition. Shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube. They look like pretty standard sockets.

Very cheap and gets the job done. Packaging is poor as they are all bundled together in a plastic bag, so you'll have a few bent pins but they are easy to bend back to place. No problem getting ICs in and they are secure after placed in the socket.

Good for the price but did not fit well into a solderless breadboard and had thin puny pins. They would be ok if I only intended to solder and not use a breadboard (which eventually will be the use of the socket. I got some 8 pin pitch DIP sockets that I found more suited for bradboards.
