I needed to switch one input between 3 outputs so a sp3t would be perfect. the first batch I ordered, I ran a continuity Test. my idea was to find what pin with with position A then B then C. So I pulled out my multi-meter and hooked up one end to the 4th pin and probed the other three pins moved the switch and repeated. Well only time it did what it was supposed to do was in position A. I'd move the switch to position B and then tried C and not get any continuity on any pin in either one. Move it back to A and again it worked. Well this is acting more like a SP1t switch with dummy pins not a sp3t switch. I tried a bunch of switches from the batch thinking maybe I just got a few duds nope they all acted the same. so I ordered a replacement batch. And ran the test again, only to get the same results.I also noticed that if I poked the metal case around the switch I'd get continuity in all three positions, I made extra sure that the other probe was not touching the case or those tabs on the side, yep it's only touching the 4th pin.so both batches where defective. it seems quality control is not a thing here.
