Installation:

  • Remove the exhaust pipe.
  • Clean the cylinder head connector.
  • Put the exhaust pipe gasket into the cylinder head.
  • If the gasket is too loose, you can apply a little bit of butter or sealant on the gasket to stick it, and then install the exhaust pipe.

Note:

  • Please allow 1-2mm error due to manual measurement.

Needed a universal fitting closer to 41mm. Head pipe diameter is around 41.3mm Was hoping this 42mm would be a close fit. The description does say that there could be a 1mm variance in size.The ID of the fitting is just over 43mm, so it's quite a loose fit unfortunately. Maybe I just got unlucky, but if they are all consistently this size, they should rework the dimensions in the description to say 43mm ID instead. I can probably make it work with some wrap or sealant...but finding a short exhasut coupler and using sealant would probably been a better solution.The OD measurement was accurate at 48mm, though.

42.5mm is the size you need for an OEM XR650L muffler mid pipe. Worked great. Heads up, it will gas off a bit when its new. Let the bike get hot and bake off whatever those chemicals are.

Works at it should from header to collector box. Now one foot isnt warmer than other a the sound is coming from where it should. Lol

Not alot was perfect bit tight, but on closer inspection the inside came out and over the top, so was a a slack fit, do didnt seal so on start up was blowing. Had to remove and fit the old one...... Not good quality 😕
