After buying the Harbor Freight 2.5 Kw "inverter type" generator for ARRL Ham Radio Field Day, I found that it produced a very high amount of RF noise that would have severely hampered the operation of the radios connected to the generator. I bought this filter, placed in in a section of 3" PVC pipe for protection from the elements, and placed it the electrical line about 1 ft. from the generator. There was absolutely no generator noise heard in our radios. This filter took out the generator's normal S9 + 10 Db noise down to undetectable.

Complete waste of time and money. I have a well pump controller and 3-phase converter that causes a lot of line noise, interfering with other electronics. This device had zero effect in reducing the electrical noise or its affect on other systems.

A waste of money . It did absolutely nothing to stop or even slightly reduce the RFI radiated by my water pump.
