Works great. Note the pinout differs from other 4 digit 7 segment displays as pin 1 is located on the left under the model number, not on the right. Clean, rich, blood red segment color not the orange-red color you'll find with other inexpensive displays.

These displays are difficult to work with as they do not except a 3.3 V digital one without placing resistors in between the source and the display. The nice thing about this display is it comes with five so when you burn out the first couple figuring this out you’ll have a couple left to still make your project work.

Do not buy if you need this to display numbers/letters etc. The display is configured so that each digit of the display will always be the same as all the other digits. Each digit is NOT individually controllable. The display can either have a digit turned off, or identical to the other digits. What a joke. There is no way to make this display work for any normal application.

The units I received were part number CL3641AH and worked as the datasheet states, including the decimal points. Current-limiting resistors are always required on LED and LED displays.

The product I got, has only "clock" dots connected, the decimal points for each digit do not seem to be connected electrically. I specifically bought this product for the decimal points, so this was sad.

Low forward voltage, ended up killing one. It needs between 1.8 and 2.8v to work properly. A 15ohm (10 or 22 didn't work) 0603 resistor in series with each of the 4 ground pins seems to work. Low power tolerance should be stated in the title or top of the description.

Worked as expected. No DOAs.
