I purchased these as flow restrictors for shower heads. When I installed them, they came apart, clogging the shower heads. I had to replace the shower head. Wish I had just gone to the hardware store. It cost much more than a trip to the local hardware store.

It's very thick, so it may not fit into some 1/2" fittings. You need at least 3 or 4 excess threads, or there won't be space.It would be nice if washers or gaskets were included in the package.
