VMQ O-Ring
- Hardness: 50A
- Temperature: -22℉ (-30℃) to 392℉ (200℃)
Circular Cross-Section
- They are circular in shape, round in cross-section.
- Designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications.
- Commonly provide a pressure and fluid seal between cylindrically shaped, overlapping mating surfaces and are commonly seen in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, and various cylinders.
Silicone Rubber O-Ring
- Noted for their ability to be used over a wide temperature range and for excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging.
- Standard silicones are resistant to water (to 100°C), aliphatic engine and transmission oils and animal and plant oils, and fats.
- Silicones are generally not resistant to fuels, aromatic mineral oils, steam (short term to 120°C is possible), silicone oils and greases, acids, or alkalis.

These rings can be used as an alternative to dynavap o-rings. The difference is that original rings last much longer - up to a few years, while these rings need a replacement after a few uses. I think it's just the quality of silicone which is deteriorating quickly when heated and becoming loose & fragile. These rings are better than no rings, but that's the only good thing about them.
