Product Introduce
- Spiral point taps are also called screw-point taps, suitable for processing through-hole threads and deep-hole threads. Featured with high strength, fast cutting speed, clear tooth pattern and long life.
- Spiral point tap is a deformation of the straight flute tap. The cutting edge of the straight flute is slanted to form an angle, and the chips are discharged forward along the direction of feed. The through-hole threads should be preferentially drilling by spiral point taps.
- Made of high speed steel (HSS), threading tool is good for general purpose applications, offering high hardness, toughness and wear resistance.

Spiral Point Threading Taps

General Selection Basis
Warm Tips
- Use with tapping oil to get higher quality thread and more durable taps. It is easy to cause damage for uneven force if the machine taps are used by hand.
- When selecting the cutting speed, please consider the tap material, type, thread teeth, hole shape, effective diameter of the bottom hole, processing material and cutting oil .
- Cutting oil is lubrication, cooling and anti-sticking. Be sure to select the appropriate cutting oil for complex tapping process.

I only use this for heavy home use, so not sure how it would hold up in a manufacturing environment. These work great for tapping Plastic/Aluminum/Brass/mild-steel/stainless. Just be sure to use the proper pilot drill size for the material, and appropriate cutting lubricant (I'm a big tap-magic user)

I wasted my time going to two of the big box hardware stores. They didn't have hardly ANY taps - let alone the taps I needed. Should have gone straight to Amazon and ordered these taps. They appear to be of good quality and they worked like a champ.

When I started my first tap in 3/16" stainless steel I thought I had drilled my piglet hole too large from the ease of use when threading. Thats how clean it was cutting. I always use the nano formula Tap Magic for best results. Highly recommend this combo

I stripped threads on the bolt hole for holding the rear light assembly (brake light) on my 2013 Honda Odyssey when replacing the reverse bulb with a much brighter LED. Two bolts so it was OK, but these fixed the threads and now it is bolted in properly. Had to be very careful and precise while putting in decent torque, but worked like a champ & I couldn't believe how clean it was. Bolt went in smooth & snug.This was my first time using a threading tap, so very happy!!!!

Used it a couple times now and hasn't broken. cutting oil is a must for every metal, no matter the thickness, other wise you will have problems.

I was building a project that required a significant amount of steel to be tapped for multiple mount points. After breaking my expensive tap (my own fault for not cleaning burs), I ordered 4 of these (expecting a cheap product with potentially breaking multiple). I finished the project and to my surprise, I didn't break a single one, the body didn't even twist. I would definitely buy again
