Furniture Insert E-Nuts
It is a kind of nut manufactured by carbon steel die-casting or forging process. It has internal and external threads. The internal thread is mainly responsible for self-locking wood. Generally, it is a standard mechanical thread, which is convenient for connecting with other standard threaded fasteners.
Application
Mainly used for implanting wood material, increasing the way of wood thread locking, suitable for hardwood, such as solid wood, and has a good effect in the combination of high-end furniture.
Note:
We have two kinds of nuts shown in the picture, which can be purchased according to your needs.
Installation
- The mounting hole should not be larger than the outer diameter of the thread.
- When locking teeth, some wood glue can be applied to the outer to make the fastening effect good.
- Make a hole smaller than the outer diameter of 0.2-0.5mm, and use the drive tool to lock the nuts.

Nicely machined threads and easy to install. Inset for the screwdriver to set these into the wood doesn't slip. Exterior threads are nice and deep to capture wood glue without it getting all over everything, including the inner threads where you don't want it. (Yes, you should use glue on the outer threads for maximum strength.) Recommended.

I build butcher block kitchen islands with hardwood and install casters on them. Most inserts that you find online are made of very brittle zinc. These high quality steel inserts work perfectly installing them in hardwoods like Ash, Maple, Mesquite, etc. Unlike the zinc inserts that easily break during install, these steel inserts install/drive straight and true. They're a little more difficult to get started, but it's not a problem. These have become my go-to inserts over others hands down.

My wife ordered a bench for the kitchen from Amazon and I was tasked with assembling it. All was going well until I tried to attach the right legs. One of the threaded inserts was missing. I got these quickly from Amazon and was able to screw it in and get on with the assembly. It went right in using a hex wrench, no problem.

I used these for seat cushion bases on dining room chairs. I even used an impact driver to install them. They all drove into the wood fine and the original M6 screws went in with no issues.

Just as advertised. They are carbon steel and not cheap zinc alloy. These are great, well made inserts. I use these to attach guitar necks to body's and they work really well. I will buy more.
