So I just received this case yesterday. Based off first impressions I did not think anything was even in the box, this thing is lightweight! The case seems like it has really good build quality, GoPro and the mic adapter fit PERFECTLY inside of the case, like a glove. There is absolutely no moment of either of the devices.Only concern I have with the case is the longevity of the "clip" that holds the door shut. Its just this little tinny thin plastic tab that is holding your door/camera in. I'm not sure if I'm digging that design, I honestly think I will be returning the product or I might just keep it for a spare...MAJOR upside however, the door slides in from the side and not the top. This allows you to keep everything mounted on the coldshoe or to the case mounted when you need to change batteries or cards. Seems like a huge majority of other cases require you to dismount everything above in order for the door to clear.

This housing was a great way for me to simplify mounting the camera and mic adapter to my helmet. This kept the mic adapter from dangling from the camera, and it was a simple thing to plug a mic in and run the wire up under the front of my helmet.Downside? Removing the cover on the side of the camera to attach the mic adapter allows the connection and USB-C pier port to be exposed to water & dust. Would be nice if the design had a rubber boot/cover.Also, I was able to plug-in a power cord and slip a backup battery in a top jacket pocket to power the camera for extended riding. I realize this is more a function of the mic adapter but thought I’d pass it along.All said, this is a great product and well worth the price.

The MIC adapter I bought from Go Pro to allow me to run a direct MIC slides in easy, but is a tad lose inside. So even with the MIC and power cord attached, the MIC adapter can still slide some what out of the case but will not fall out since it is plugged into the Go Pro. I put a twist in the MIC adapter wire going into the Go Pro to help the adapter stay better in place. The camera is held snug and is a perfect fit for my Hero 7. No difficulties on removing or putting it in the case.

Wonderfully innovative product turns the Hero 7 into a great vlogging camera. The Hero 7’s internal mic is a so-so performer, which is true of many camera audio systems. The expensive GoPro audio adapter is bulky. There a number of YouTube videos demonstrating various ways to mount it with the Hero 7, but this case makes it all so simple. There’s a little compartment under where the camera goes for the audio adapter. A wonderfully elegant solution. Slip in the audio adapter. Put the Hero 7 in the case. Attach the back piece and you’re read to go. There’s a cold shoe mount on the top. I use a Saramonic SR-MX1 mic which plugs directly into the adapter. Even with it its foam windshield, it is safely out of the GoPro’s field of view.Mount an LED light in the top cold shoe and you’re ready to go.There’s a GoPro two-prong mount on the bottom.With this case, you have a compact full-bore vlogging camera. It’s a great concept that really makes the Hero 7 a standout for vlogging.Jerry

This housing case is perfect for its intended application. I like it because is easier to use than the original that came with my GoPro. The one I received has two fine cracks, one on the top and another one on the side.Updated: I found the V3 on another store and came with the same "fine marks". I'm going to keep both because I really like them. I added two more stars.

The opening to hold the gropro slides open. I question the pressure it hold the gopro with, I think the go pro is going to start to rattle at some point.The compartment for the mic adapter fits, but you have to really bend the usb c end to get into the case and twist the wire alot to plug it into the usb c plug on the go pro.At least there is a spot for the mic adapter , it better than letting it dangle but not much better than a good velcro strap.

Macht einen wertigen Eindruck, die GoPro Hero 7 passt perfekt mit dem Mikrofonadapter hinein. Der Touchscreen ist allerdings etwas schwieriger zu bedienen, geht aber in Ordnung. Daumen hoch.
