Installed this into my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. It has a 160 amp alternator from the factory, and a newer Bosch battery that has 850 CCA's. I was getting really bad headlight dimming from my JBL GTO-751EZ at medium to high volumes. The amp is rated at 750 watts RMS @ ohms, but it puts out substantially more power (1000 watts+) than that before clipping. It's pushing two Kicker CompVT 07CVT104's (10"s") in an MTX Thunderform box under my back seat. I also have an NVX Jad800.4 that runs all my door speakers that's rated at 125 watts RMS @ 4 ohms x4. The standard recommended cap would be a 1 to 1.5 farad cap, but upon reading up a bit more on caps, a lot of amp manufactures recommended going 2 to 3 times larger. That's why I chose this cap. The bass hits hard, but I still notice a tiny bit of headlight dimming at high volumes. Nowhere near as bad as before, but It's still there. Overall, I'm happy with the results.

Great quality cap for under $100. Have purchased other caps in the past at well over this price and was not as impressed with the quality of the product as I was with this one. The design is great, does not use terminal posts like most, but instead mirrors the design of most amps and using the clamp method of having a slot and holding the wire with a large allen screw.The electrical aspects of this product is great, this T-Spec was purchased to replace a crappy cap in my wife's 2011 Camry where even when originally installed still allowed major headlight dimming. As the old cap was in the car the main power terminal post stripped out causing poor connection. This new T-Spec cap installed with a breeze, charged right up with the supplied bulb/resistor and has been keeping a strong connection and charge, thus, fixing the headlight dimming.Don't look any further than T-Spec, thus far I am very happy with their product, have also purchased their AGU fuse holder and fuses and was more than pleased with the quality of the product for another installation that required replacement of a melted fuse holder. Crutchfield has also solely switched many of their products to be only T-Spec, not saying that they are the greatest company since sliced bread, but they do offer some great products and service.

Just installed full JL Audio set up in a FRS. This cap is over kill for the application (just under 1000w) but the car runs as if nothing was ever installed. Being that the motor is a 2.0 I would imagine there would be some fluctuation w/o this component. Running quality 4G wire in & out not much room for much more, deep terminals for good bite, component mounting brackets could be alittle better but overall Very satisfied, easy install purchasing another this weekend for my next Install on my F150. Also shipping was fast AF, great sellerUpdate 9/16This thing threw up battery acid(or whatever the interior substance is) all over the trunk of my girls Frs. Worked for over a year perfectly, 98° Plus day here in Florida & this thing threw up everywhere. I would not recommend this product ruined her trunk liner, removing from my F150.

I truly wouldn't even give this a one star. Had it for about 3 days hooked up to a 1200 watt kicker amp and this cap kept loosing power. I returned it and got 1.5 farad by soundstream and haven't had any issues at all. From my personal experience i wouldn't recommend this to anyone!

It works but the screen shuts off when you're hitting the subs after about a minute

I drive a 06 Corolla and just my 750w Kicker amp was draining all power from the car and causing ridiculous headlight (and even interior light) dimming. So I figured I'd get a capacitor that was way overrated and it did the trick perfectly. Now I can pound out all the lows and my headlights don't dim a bit, my subs are even a little bit louder now that the amp is getting the voltage its been craving. Great simple product that does the job. The LED screen look pretty sweet too.

Did the trick! Was considering Big 3 Upgrade but tried this as quick fix. Worked for my 1200 on 3x10 subs with no issues, no lights dimming now. And it looks cool.

Lovely looking only 1 problems is the digital display you can not see because it's set on a 90 degree angle what a shame

Was missing the resistor to charge it. Box was damaged and the capacitor has a dent in it. It works fine however and price was fair.

Did not come with the “included†resistor for charging. Plastic over volt meter damaged. Box looks like it was opened before and capacitor looks like it was used before.
