Added this to my Rv grey tank valve to see if any signs of leakage and to be able to use a regular garden hose to drain. Works perfectly! Installation was easy and simple. Added silicone grease to the rubber gasket and twist and locked the cap.

Like the clear view. Brand new so I hope it lasts and doesn’t become brittle. Plan on carrying a spare with me just in case.I definitely like the idea of knowing before uncapping if there is leakage behind the cap! No surprises! I installed a garden hose shutoff On the hose connection and then capped that with the supplied cap so any surprises could be dealt with to minimize spill. So far I have no negatives about this product.EDIT: Item lasted two years. The clear plastic is a nice touch so that you can see if there is liquid behind the cap before attaching hose to fitting, but as I suspected, it became brittle and the bayonet lugs broke. Traditional black hard rubber caps seem to last longer.

Overall, very good product. Two areas where there's room for improvement: 1. Only two bayonet arms vs. the usual 4 on these types of caps and 2. They put the product label stickers on the inside of the cap where, of course, they block your view thus mostly defeating the purpose of the clear cap. They're not easy to peel off with a fingernail either. Had to use a heat gun (hair dryer would work too) and even then a little acetone to clean up some stray sticker glue.

Ordered for a class c. Removed old cap and safety string. Installed new string and cap without a problem. 30 sec install. Time will tell if it leaks

Allows you to hook hose up to backflush tank. Clear is handy to see if material in there before you remove cap to dump (like failed valve. Fits pretty tight.

So I know this was intended to go on your drain port on an RV, but I put this with a 3 inch fitting on an exterior tank that someone comes and pumps and the hose port I use with a hose attached to a macerator pump that’s attached to the RV to pump. The RV into exterior tank is clear window. Cap helps me see how full exterior tank is while pumping so you don’t just have to use it for the RV itself.

I use this clear fitting to winterize the RV at home using garden hose to basement toilet by window. I can see when its time of clear water and then proceed to winterize liquid colour to be sure all water out and be full prepar for an happy winter. On our normal camping season we are using clear elbow fitting for proper cleaning between full time and flush with full service. Of course you can use this product during your camping season or as spray flush but we have on our trailer a build in sani-flush hose connector. Always pull gray for 1 second to test you fitting prior to wide open the black and dealing with the mess and odour. Wishing you and happy camping.
