I bought a full pack of CMYK (all colors) for my aging Laserjet Pro 200. All but the yellow were printing perfectly on a printer test -- that one was uneven, missing toner in places. The seller responded to my inquiry almost immediately, heard my explanation of what's going on, and then got a replacement out immediate, no delay whatsoever. That one arrived in just a few days and it prints perfectly. So now I have a full set and the output looks great -- even printing, colors look right, and no stray spots on the page that are a hallmark of an imperfect drum. The price on this toner was literally a fraction of the prices for new catridges from HP (whose cartridge set costs more than a new printer!), and had I not been able to buy these at a fair price, I was prepared to replace this printer with a different brand. This set gets me some extra years out of this old printer.

These cartridges are working just as well as the original HP cartridges that I purchased an HP cartridge large one five years agoAbout six months ago, I started getting lines on the copies so I tried cleaning the unit cartridge just made it worseI’ll never buy the large cartridges again they don’t last I only used half of itAnd the price for two cartridges here was amazing

I received these black 221 cartridges yesterday. I've used them before so can say that they last quite a while. The black always goes out first so didn't need a whole suite of colors this time. Unlike the picture in Amazon, these came in a plain white box with just the model number on the outside. Inside though was packed as I expected. The toners were well protected in their yellow sleeves and end packed by foam. The instruction sheet, if needed, was clear and would make installation easy if you've never done it before. The big test with all third party ink/toner companies is if it works in your printer. These did not have any issues and the printer (I have a Brother HL-3170CDW) accepted them and was able to print straight away. I print some graphics, but mostly text. The print was sharp and clear. Did not see any smears or other issues after running about 20 sheets through on this toner. As I said earlier, I have used these toners before and have never had any issues with them. They're much more cost effective than the manufacturer's. There are other low-cost brands out there and sometimes it roulette on what you get. These worked great for me.

So I was actually prepared to lose our investment ordering these, because a very long time ago for another printer we ordered a knock off brand and they did not work at all. But bottom line we could not afford the 298 dollars for new ink cartridges. We don't use these for a business, we use these for printing off learning pamphlets for our children. We are living paycheck to paycheck and it was either going with these cartridges or scrapping the whole printer.I was a little tense loading these into the printer because they looked a little bit different than the original HP ones...and I'd never replaced the HP ones and the whole process was intimidating. I was sure it was going to leak everywhere when I pulled the little plastic tape, but nope! The yellow one smelled a little like rat urine so...I'm not sure if that had to do with the ink, but I was thinking in my head - nope, this is never going to work, when do knock off brands ever work, and how could it work being 1/5th of the price. What's the catch?Well, the next thing was turning on the printer and the HP software quickly alerted me these were not HP cartridges. I thought...this is going to be it, at this point, it's going to stop everything and I won't be able to print a thing. But no, I was able to print, and it came out in the same color to me. I don't highly scrutinize the exact tones of colors, but from what I could perceive the color was the same. And the children, the intended audience, didn't notice at all, if there was any variation with the color. I am too lazy to check this as it is not an issue for us. One thing was clear to me is that the colors were definitely not off in the way a person would think the colors would be off 10 years ago - like blue is printing out green or anything. Maybe some artist somewhere can tell that there are some nuances in difference but for us we were like WOW, it WORKED!I don't know if we've done something unethical though. This is my only hesitation. Buying these knock of brands probably hurts the HP company. I met a very nice engineer who was laid off from HP about 7 years ago. But that is just the thing - he was laid off. The company clearly did not respect its employees. So if I thought that the company was spending the difference between 60 dollars and 289 on its employees, and on making sure the product stayed functioning and competitive, I would consider more seriously saving up over a year or something enough to buy the fancier ink, thinking, at least this company is using this difference to pay its local engineers, and to provide for families, and to build the kind of world I want to live in. But knowing full well HP laid off those people with total heartlessness makes me feel like I would just be a fool to pay HP 289 for their extremely expensive ink, which does not have the increased associated worth with it. In short since HP does not show this type of charity to others, why invest in them even if it's the original product made by their employees. But overall this experience also made me a little sad. I sat staring that the printer that I know was built by hardworking engineers with high attention to detail. I would have liked to buy the ink that would have supported those engineers, and their families, because ultimately the printer is an HP printer. Sadly, buying or not buying the ink does not support the actual hard workers at HP, just the heartless people at the top of the company. There is no way to help the people who actually brought us the printer. And so its a bit of a half hearted victory. Yay, we have knock off ink from China that works as well as the American counterpart. But the actual innovators and people who sacrificed their lives to make this possible will probably never see the recompense they deserve this side of heaven. And in that, there is some sadness, and now it sort of affects my printing experience. But the ink is great.

I installed these (followed box instructions) and printed a demo page and the demo page looks great. My old toner left a line down the side of the page, but that is now gone. I had no issues installing these and my printer (HP) recognized them and printed just fine (printer did show a message they were not HP cartridges, but allowed me to print).I'll have to see how long these last, but given my print volume it should be a few years. At any rate, at the $50-70 range for the toner set, I can buy 5-8 sets of these for the price of one HP set, where it would be cheaper for me to buy a new laser printer than buy HP branded replacement toner cartridges for my printer.
