I have used sifting liners for years. I now order them from Amazon as I prefer the flat liners over those with elastic edging. I have a large cat which means a large litter pan and they work out well. Using these liners I feel means a cleaner box because sifting means you get it all withut breaking up the clumps like what happens with scooping. For me it just makes the entire process easier. I sift the litter every day and when walking into my house people cannot tell I have a cat because there are absolutely no cat smells. My advice give them a try.

These litter box liners are not it for our house. It’s just a square plastic bag. Trying to pick up each corner of these to sift the litter is nearly impossible for me. I would rather use a scooper than to use these bags. I did return these bags and got a refund.

As the review title mentions, if I were able to, I would have given these 2.5 stars instead. We love our 4-legged kids right? I know that I adore mine. It's too bad that their toilet is harder to clean than our own! :-) Needless to say, instead of thoroughly cleaning my kids litter boxes after each litter cycle was done with Lysol, I began using liners years ago as the solution. I have literally tried every type, brand, etc that I know of. I even tried using 2 or 3 thick trash bags as liners. The sifting types of liners were the last type I tried. I was so excited to receive these in the mail because I thought to myself, "Wow, the maintenance is going to be so much quicker now." Unfortunately, the sifting idea is great but this brand of liners simply didn't work at my house. My kids tend to really dig deep into the litter (and I fill a jumbo box nearly to the brim with Fresh Step) and this liner was thin enough that they clawed right through it and made a mess. Van Ness in general as a brand hasn't worked for me with their standard liners either unfortunately but I still gave these a try. Before ever putting the litter in the jumbo box, I noticed right away when pulling these liners out of the box that they, in my humble opinion, weren't well made. This set comes with the bottom layer (obviously the one with no sifting holes in it) and then the other sifting layers are simply supposed to easily lay on top of that bottom layer. My goodness was it sloppy! I tried so hard to get these to line up properly and sit well in the box but the material was so thin that I got too frustrated and gave up. I just sat them in there the best I could. Then you place the large (but fairly thin) rubber band around the outside top rim to hold all of the liners in place. That didn't work well either with the XL dome boxes I have. So unfortunately I can't give a great review for these like I wanted to, even though the sifting idea is wonderful! I have gone back to using "Jonny Cat" brand Heavy Duty Jumbo liners because they are thick and have the drawstring to lift like a trash bag once the litter needs to be fully replaced. I hope this review helps you!

I really struggle to bend or squat for long periods of time to clean my girls’ litterboxes & at one point, we had 4 or 5 litterboxes. Thankfully we’re down to only 2 now but my husband got used to taking the chore over. I thought if I could just cut down the amount of time it takes to clean each box, we could share the task equally again. Well, these liners do make it a lot easier….IF/WHEN my girls cooperate & don’t rip giant holes in it or pull it out of the rubber band! We went back to just pouring the litter directly in the boxes & traditional sifting. If you have cats who don’t obsessively dig & bury & want to cut down sifting time, try these out. You can’t go too long between cleanings though bc it’ll clog up all the holes & it’s difficult to get the clean litter to fall thru. We had to clean ours at least every other day.

This is a sincere review from a multiple-cat household for multiple-cat households.1. This may not be the product for you if you have heavy diggers and those with excessive burying practices. Even with all 5 cat's nails being trimmed, the bag lining bottom gets ripped easily despite having 4 inches of litter between them and the liner and a refresh of litter with each pull. Urine clumps get stuck over the holes and it becomes increasingly difficult to sift, causing excessive wastage of fresh litter. 5 cats is unreasonable to expect to limit ourselves to one bag pull a day, so we pull 2-3 times a day, we experienced the same issue regardless.2. This product is a plastic liner, and normally plastic litter liners don't bother us or are particularly loud when touched or scraped at, but all of the liners in the box at once means it's pretty loud every time the bags are touched/shifted due to the type of plastic used and rubbing up on each other. Will work better if your box is in a different room than the one you sleep in, otherwise RIP to your sleep schedule, you're going to hear everyone digging and moving in the box. *Everyone.*3. We looked up the measurements for these litter liners, did extra research outside of Amazon for sizing at the manufacturer's website, and compared them to our high-wall litter box's dimensions. Despite all of this, if it's possible to go higher in size, do so. The litter bags sat about an inch and a half around the rim and were barely holding on with the rubber band. Also, they're all flat sheets - not fitted bags - which makes it somehow worse to set it up. A usually 2 minute job became 8 minutes of adjusting and flattening. We went into this with the intention of a trial run to see if it would work for our multi-box household while we work on purchasing another Litter Robot (we have a pair of bonded boys who are pretty big and the LR3 entrance is a little cramped for them). Ultimately it failed for us as our conditions are a little too harsh for these to hold up in durability. That's okay, these might work for smaller households, boxes, and gentler cats, but if you have a pack of rowdy furballs, save yourself the headache and stay with a regular scoop. Great concept, but inefficient and cumbersome.

These are great. Cleaning out litter boxes is about my least favorite chore, and I have three to clean out. Still don't love doing it, but these sure are helpful. They work well and help me get the job done more quickly and with less hassle. I would say they also help save on litter.

Fantastic, used 2 with another liner for over the weekend.Cleaned in a jiffy one tray, but did leave one poo! Not too durable as cat had made a hole in it! Will use now and again as a bit expensive! Will order more soon!

Great product, the multiple, sifting layers means you can quickly and easily empty the box without using some crusty tool.

This is a box of clear plastic rectangles with a few slits in the middle. They have no creases in them so there's no way to fit them to your litter box without weird crumpling. To secure them, the manufacturer generously provides a cheap rubber band that snapped the first time I tried to stretch it around my cat's litter box. The fact that actual money is being charged for this product is unbelievable.
