After 15 years, a Fender Acoustic we share with grandkids began to show it's age. It's tuning pegs began to become loose, making tuning difficult. After doing some research, we purchased these Vangoas and, nice surprise, our homework paid off. Both the old and new are functionally identical with identical mounting locations, 3L and 3R, semi-enclosed, and the shaft diameter and total length are also identical. These were cost-effective, too. Fender.com wanted 10X the price for what appears to be Vangoa's tuning peg assemblies.Bottom line: If you happen to have a Fender Genesis Acoustic, these Vangoas fit exactly and I highly recommend purchasing a set. Even if you don't have a Fender acoustic, all that's needed is to check the schematics on the listing to confirm if these will work for comparable acoustic guitars.

It's an inexpensive and great product. Resolve the string-broken problem just after replacing the tuning peg.

Great value and a perfect fit for my old (early 70s) Alvarez 5046 dreadnought. After it was dropped at a local coffee shop I donated it to a few years ago, the headstock was split in two and the fingerboard was partly separated. I'm a PT luthier, so I was able to fix it, as well as take care of some other issues... one of which was the old tuners, which were worn. I had installed some Grovers probably 30+ years ago and they'd seen better days. These new tuners are not high quality, but do the job. The screw holes lined up perfectly. I did have to buy a set of 10mm conversion rings to fit the tuner posts, but they're inexpensive on Amazon. As noted in my review title, there is no lube on the worm/drive gears on these tuners. May not be necessary if that worm gear is plastic or graphite, as there would be no metal on metal friction, but it doesn't hurt to add a smidge in there. Just pop them open with a small flat blade screwdriver, take a toothpick and dab the gears with any type of synthetic grease. Also make sure the drive gear screw is snug and the tuner pegs are snug, but not tight. Then give the tuners a good spin either by hand or with a drill/screw gun. These are probably only a 14:1 ratio tuner, but they work just fine for the money. All my other guitars have much higher quality locking tuners, but not necessary on a guitar that will be put back into action at my work to allow coworkers to enjoy. Not going back to the coffee shop where careless kids can treat it like a toy.

Well the shipping and all was great and they looked great. They fit perfectly the same spots the old ones came from. The Mounting screw holes lined up perfectly! I really couldn't believe how well every matched up with the old ones. So, started putting brand new medium d'sarrios acoustic guitar strings on. No problems got all six strings strung and began to wind each one to get most of the slack out so that once I set my tuner up it would be 123 and 456 done. So the 4th string np. 3rd string about 3/4 of tension needed i feel a pop. And the was turning but no movement in string. Would unwind but wouldn't tighten any more. First time ever in 30 years of playing and restringing my own instruments did this happen. I have had it happen on instruments with age or alot of use and strings get changed frequently but never brand new keys. But the little screw that runs through the thumb piece through the screw shaft and hold all that together. It broke and was not even close to having the tension needed to be in tune. But ok nothing perfect everytime. But it happen again on the 6th and the 2nd strings. I dont know what the problem is with those screws unless the are defective manufacturer mistakes or they maybe were over tightened I dont know. I did replace them with ones that I had laying around my shop. And all seem to be working. I do recommend though to try and stick to the solid thumb and tuning shaft style(no screw) less problems . but you will pay more. My opinion well worth it. To not have the aggrevation Of replacing that tiny screw. Sorry the review isn't that great but truth builds great business and friendshipsl

The box arrived damaged in shipping. Missing 1 washer and 2 screws. The machines are unusable without those. I sent a message on Sunday and was contacted on Monday. They offered to send a full replacement for the parts. Excellent service department.Product works fine, requires some messing with the machines to get them to where they are responsive. So keep a screwdriver handy. Machines started loose and had to be tightened. eg: When changing direction of tuning there's a gap where no change will be made. But the product looks great. Scratch guard on the shiny bits. And zero slippage. All 6 tuners stay in tune.

These work great. One of mine broke on my Mitchell acoustic guitar and I had to replace it before recording. This set is a little thicker so I ended up replacing all of them which is quick and easy. They all worked perfectly and I was able to get to recording. I ended up also buying a new acoustic guitar shortly after but it had nothing to do with these lol.
