Amazon has been bugging me for a week to leave a review on this, so here it is. These are magnets. They are not very strong, but they will hold stuff on your refrigerator door. So, there.

The tape itself is cheaply made, that was a no-brainer to me due to the pricing but I didn’t think it would be this bad. This is not subjective either so read my whole review. The tape is made of a light and thin plastic and is very fragile, the runner of the tape that’s supposed to “clean†the heads is an extremely thin strip of what I would almost say is like a paper towel. Granted you use paper to clean a VCR head but NOT like this. After putting the tape in my VCR it destroyed itself fairly quickly (about five seconds I would say) in an attempt to pull it out I ejected it immediately to which it came out torn at the cleaning band. Thinking it was just junk and to move on I tried another normal VHS tape, to my shock the VCR proceeded to rip up my VHS.It was only after opening the VCR unit I realized that whatever solution was in it had left spots all over the VCR’s heads and that it was almost sticky, more than likely why the VHS tape that went in after was damaged. Just in case this review isn’t enough here’s some points.1. The solution that comes with the tape is not easy to open and is more than likely water, not actual ISP alcohol or anything of the like.2. The fluid when dropped into the access for the tape has no way to effectively soak the cleaning part of it.3. The housing is fragile and the band will snap easily.4. The ‘cleaning fluid’ or whatever they want to pedal it as will blot up your VCR’s headsIf you want to clean your VCR here’s my recommendation instead of hunting for cleaning tapes which are basically non-existent in 2023 and cheap ones like this are terrible.Take apart your VCR deck and get paper and ISP alcohol, look up a diagram or video of which parts you need to clean (the heads and guides), then do it yourself. You will get much better results and be able to really clear them up. It takes about 10 minutes if your deck just has a few screws holding the top in.For the people with plastic welded VCR’s I’m sorry but it’s much more complicated and I would get another VCR that is easy to service. To the company? Take this product off the market, you’re selling snake oil and you know it.
