The Vdiagtool BR300 is a tester for 6-12v lead-acid batteries of different types. First off, it is easy to use, supposedly has 99.5% accuracy, looks and feels like a first-class tool, is f/w ungradable, and gives repeatable results. After a fair amount of testing on good and bad batteries, both large and very small, I am confident that the readings and results are accurate.I purchased this item because I was looking for a tester that would provide accurate battery information for small lead-acid batteries. The BT300 has this unusual capability due to the very wide range of CCA's. Once I figured out how to approach testing of these small batteries, the tester did the rest and I had confidence in the results, finally. The bonus for me is that the test results for large batteries when companied to other lead-acid battery testers were often very different from the BT300. After comparative testing on several larger batteries using several of my digital testers against each other and an expensive commercial tester, I'm now confident that my older digital testers should not be relied on for valid results and the BT300 provides accurate results. I did not expect such a wide variation in results for car batteries - I was wrong. I have now discarded the older digital testers in favor of the BT300.Sometimes the test results call for "replace," but the battery seems to perform as expected. In my cars and motorcycles, I never want to be in the situation where the tests reads "replace" yet the car starts normally, that is, until the outdoor temperature drops and the car just will not start due to known battery weakness issues. It's just not worth taking a chance as far as I'm concerned. The BT300 helps avoid this kind of issue, if used properly, and its data and readouts respected. On a related subject, I had some interaction with one of its customer service agents, Anna. I knew from the Amazon listing that Vdiagtool promised great customer service. She was perfect for my needs in all respects. You should have no reservations about purchasing the Vdiagtool BT300. I'm convinced Vdiatool will take care of any issue you may have upon receipt or during its lifetime without much effort on the part of the customer.Great product! Great customer service! On the charger I could only get a 72% charged battery. When cold it wouldn't turn over the motor. I wondered why. Though it still showed 12.4 volts while still in the car this tester identified I only had 190CCA of the listed 850. It displayed "Bad Cell" with the poor indicator light on. Can't say it saved me money because there went a few hundred dollars for a new battery and an OBDII registration tool for VAG vehicles. It did save me from being stranded in the airport parking lot. Easy to use easy to read. It's a good investment especially If you have more than one vehicle.

I purchased this tester after I watched a YouTube video presentation that featured the master mechanic using this tool. Between cost, price and functionality, this tester is a must have for any DIYer or garage. True, one an pay north of $200 for a similar device, but, for most this is all that is needed. And, sure enough, upon testing my 6y old truck battery, it read that it's state of Charge was near 100%. However, it's State of health was less than 50%. Whether it was the continued cold of winter, or the seat of summer, able to provide less than 1/2 of it's rated CCA, it would have soon failed. Based on this, I replaced the battery. Highly recommend.

This is a very good tester. You can check a battery in or out of the vehicle. You can check a lot of different things, including the starter. The only thing that disappointed me, was that when setting the Cranking Amps or Cold Cranking Amps, it steps in increments of 50. Having 560, 640, 690 Batteries didn't line up exactly with setting up the tester. It's easily resolved for me, by doing two tests, above and below the amps but I would have been more comfortable with an exact setup. Also, it is strictly powered by connecting to the battery. It does not have an internal power source for the display. Nonetheless, I would recommend this tester for anyone with a few vehicles that does not need a high end tester. It's worth the purchase.

Good tool to check battery life and charging system. I need to replace an old car battery before it leaves me stranded.

***Updated***Great Customer Services. They sent me the brand new one in the box.I tested this BT300 on our Kia Rondo 2016 Battery. The kia mechanic told us to replace the battery. We haven't have any problems in the morning to start the car. So we decided to do the test using this BT300..The result was the battery still good. That save us $300 to replace the battery. Easy to use and no problem to understand the manual. Great tool to have. Highly recommend.*****###****I just received it today and found out this BT300 battery tester already been used. The seal already broken and a lot of small hair in the box.
