This doesn’t use suction it has clips. It’s very easy to set up. Great privacy curtain. I also bought the curtains that go on the side windows (those work with suction) those work well too.

1st Curtain I purchased. Around 2019.It's super cheap, kinda transparent at times with the right lighting but get the job done. I ended up returning it since it was a scam for the money.2nd CurtainNow I have all the reasons in the world to hate on this item. IF I walk to the dollar store I can purchase LONGER curtains with the capacity to really BLACKOUT the car and not let any light or visuals in or out. That curtain would cost me around $7 max. While this seller its selling you a cheap piece of thin fabric for $30 that won't even fit on a SUV, but it does fit into smaller cars due to the hooks it comes with. Literally this item its a thin piece of fabric, a chord, and the hooks....FOR $30....I'm on my way to return this item and go buy a rope and the blackout curtains for my new car. It works waaaaay better. Trust me people. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. They are stealing your money.

Easy to install and can use in many various ways thanks to the simplicity of the design. I just wish the cord was a better quality and came with something to hold the slack after tightening into place.

So it’s ones with 6 pieces to install it and I have no idea how to use those pieces for installation because the instructions are in Chinese ONLY.....and although it has pictures, it’s not a very good copy of the instructions so you can’t tell what the heck they are doing. Needless to say, it’s all jacked up because it’s tied all kinds of ways to get them to hang and because I had to use the ceiling handles, they hang farther back than We wanted. Other than that they would have been fine.Btw, the 6 pieces are small and other than literally using a small nail to attach them to the ceiling (which I have no intention of doing), I can’t figure out how the hell they are even supposed to work. 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸If I knew it was going to be all jacked up, It would have been cheaper for me to buy some material and string and figure something else out but it was for my college daughter on a car camping trip and she only came to get the camping gear and left so I didn’t have time to figure something else out. 🤬

So despite the instructions being in Japanese, I managed to figure out how to assemble these curtains. In the package, you are given 6 brackets and a set of curtains. For my car in particular, I wanted the curtain to separate the front and back seats, so I had to install the brackets above the plastic pillar where it meets the roof upholstery. This was a bit difficult for me, as I had to bend the brackets to get them to fit and these things were DIFFICULT to bend. I know I'm not the strongest but I think the metal should be a bit more flexible for easier installation. Once I got the brackets in, it was easy to attach the curtains on to them.My biggest issues would be is the overall construction of the curtains feels cheap and not worth the price I paid for them. The curtains itself, while they are mostly light blocking, I personally was looking for something completely light blocking. I'd say these aren't worth more than $10. I also hope the strings stay intact, but only time will tell. You could honestly DIY your own curtains for more than a fraction of the cost of these.
