I wanted a reading light for bed reading before going to sleep, and I don't like bright white reflected from a white page back at me when I'm winding down for the night, so was primarily looking for something red shifted.This is very orange, or "amber," but it's what I was looking for and better than straight red. First two light levels are great for soft light reading, though the first level may be difficult for those with bad eyesight. The last light level is very bright.Battery life is great, particularly if you use the first light level. Brightest light level will run through your battery much quicker, but still lasts longer than anything but an all day reading session.Profile is nice, not too large, no sharp edges as advertised, and not too heavy. Neck is very flexible and holds its shape well, though I would not bend it around itself as in the pictures, that just seems like a recipe to reduce the life of a product.I've bought 3 of these actually. First one I left behind in a hotel and immediately ordered two more to replace it. I don't have outlets in my bathroom, and actually use one there as a nightlight in the middle of the night, and I figured having two would be nice in case I lost one again. These are that useful for night time readers.

UPDATE #3:I am changing my review to 5 stars. It's been about 2 years since I received the exchanged book light and still going strong! It amazing how infrequently I have to charge it. The warm light tone it the best, as is the 3 brightness levels. I am very happy with this light.UPDATE #2:Was able to exchange book light for a new one and so far I haven't had any issues (7+ months), HOWEVER I have not used it as much as I did the first one. I am hopeful this one will last me quite a while longer.UPDATE:Less than 3 months of use and unfortunately the battery has started to lose it's longevity. It worked without a charge for weeks at first, but now if I don't use it for a few days it won't turn on again without a charge. Thinking of returning or exchanging.Original review below:So far, so good. One of the best purchases I have made in a while. I can read again! Haven't read a book since my child was born. Idk why I didn't think of this sooner!I love that the light is amber colored and warm, not harsh like regular lighting. It is very comfortable on my eyes. The way the neck can bend is great as well. Though as much as I bend it I'm afraid it's going to short out soon. We'll see. The only thing I don't like about this book light is the brightness/on-off button. I wish there were 2 buttons, one for brightness adjust and one for on-off function, instead of having to go through all the brightness levels to turn it off. Mostly that bothers me because pushing the button makes such a loud clicking sound. Trying to be super quiet in bed while my kid sleeps.But I still love this light because it is nice to my eyes and because it has allowed me to embrace my love of reading once again.

Bought because the color of the light is said to be non-disruptive to sleep.- Three levels of brightness is good. (People who complained that having to cycle through the brightest level to turn it off are ridiculous. It’s very easy to turn off while covering the brightest light with your hand at the same time.)- Heavy base is somewhat cumbersome when used with a book but makes it easy to store on a table or to use as a small beside lamp.- Long flexible neck is a big plus enabling you to adjust the light to a variety of positions.BEST reading light I’ve come across by far. The thick base is the only drawback (although that has its advantages) and is easily more than compensated for by other features.

Although it has three brightness intensity all of them are too bright for me. And when you turn it on you’ll have to go through all the brightness levels until turn it off because there is only one button and both the setting and on/off is made by one-click at a time. The setting is not like a dimmer.If you sleep alone they will be just fine but I think they might disturb your sleep schedule due to the brightness, even using the first/weak level.

The amber light of this book light, after a long day, or during travel time, is soothing, and non intrusive for others near. It has three light levels, which is very nice for times when I want to read but am feeing a little tired. Additionally, it is easy to charge either plugged in at home on the wall charger, or conveniently connected to my computer as I work, so it is always available.The clip is a little larger and heaver than other book lights I’ve had, but it works well whether I am reading a softback, or hardback. Actually, I like it better as it doesn’t move around as much when I am reading a softback, I just clip the back with a few additional pages.I would definitely purchase this light again.

I love these! We use these every day. I turn all my lights down to very dim to dark at 4:30 so my kids will fall asleep on time to get all the rest they need (12 hours a night). But they still need to do homework so they use these to do their homework and it has 3 brightness settings which work great for them. The light is versatile, the clip works great on their books, and the glow is a soft amber so it doesn't interfere with them being tired enough to go to sleep early.

A really good night light, can be a little heavy but I find it easy to use and once you get the right grip on the book it's fine. My niece liked it so I bought one for her too.

I love this little booklight! East and fast to charge, but lasts ages when it's full.3 brightness settings, using a yellow tone light which doesn't strain your eyes. The neck is very flexible and holds it's position well. The clasp doesn't damage the cover or pages when it's clamped on. And it's a lovely colour. Highly recommended!

Is perfect for use just before bed if you like to read at night. The orange light is not stimulating and is soothing so sleep is not disrupted.

I am loving this. The yellow light is much easier on my eyes, don't get as tired as fast. The battery life is great. Recommend it
