I know superior media is obtainable at a lower unit cost, but you often have to buy a 100-pack spindle. For limited use, a 10-pack was more than enough, and Verbatim is a good brand. No issues making a playable Blu-Ray disc and using another to back up all the work product used to create the Blu-Ray product.

These are the go-to for backing up your data. I have not had one failed burn using these and no disc rot. Sure you pay almost double over others but it is worth it.

Well, what more can I say other than yes, these are exactly what they claim to be—50 shiny little discs that hold your data, your hopes, your dreams, and that embarrassing karaoke video you swore you'd never show anyone. Nothing more, nothing less. They’re like the introverted office worker of the tech world: they show up, do their job, don’t ask for attention, and quietly slip away to be filed under "works as advertised."Sure, I could wax poetic about the way a laser lovingly etches its mark into the delicate aluminum cookie sandwiched between layers of hard plastic, like a futuristic baker crafting the world's most useless Oreo. But let’s be real—you don’t care about that. You just want to know, “Will this hold my movie collection and/or questionable downloads?†And the answer is a resounding "Yes. Yes, it will."So, if you’re looking for something to store your memories, bad decisions, and maybe a few terabytes of legally questionable media, look no further. These discs will do it. They’re the unsung heroes of data storage, silently holding everything you treasure (or need to hide). Just don’t try to eat them. No matter how much I talk about cookies, they’re still plastic.

These are very good quality. I've gotten a couple of stacks since Black Friday, and I really haven't used these BD-R's yet but I've gotten 21 of the BD-XL's to which I have recorded a great deal so far and they are practically perfect, if you don't mind them being slow to record on. The playback quality is excellent....oh, and also, they aren't exactly cheap.

Whoever decided to pack it either forgot or doesn't know how much packages get banged around in the mail. It arrived without even a hint of packing material in the box. Luckily, there was only minimal damage to the case.

I got the 25gb 25 pack and have only had 1 disk end up not working (2 where due to user error). It wrote everything on there but during the verification process my writer/burner does it said either the disk was damaged or there was something wrong with a file that was put on there. Put another disk in and it worked just fine so I'm not sure if the one was due to the file, the writer, the disk or user error. But to only have one crap out out of 25 is really good considering a different brand I bought last year about 1/3 of them ended up not working. I'm not sure how long they will last yet but they work great for my purpose of backing up photos, videos, and documents! There is about 1.5gb you can't put on it which is a bummer so your only getting about 23.5 Max of storage which sucks but they do work?

I love tape backup, but the drives are really expensive. Blurays are getting cheaper and cheaper. Plus, in a fireproof safe you don't need a faraday cage/bag. I have a cheap 6x LG Blueray Burner. The blurays burned with no problem. With the 6x burner, it takes about 2 hours to burn 25gb of data. I know there are cheaper Blurays. But, this data was very important. Reading reviews on the cheaper Blu rays, they don't always burn and you get errors. I didn't want to take the chance. On each burn of these discs, I took the extra time to perform a complete verification of the burn data. Absolutely no errors. With no errors and importance of this data, the little extra cost was well worth it.

These are rated for 6x, but my Asus Blu-Ray Writer BW-16D1HT ASIN B00DWFPDJI allowed a higher burning speed. I chose to restrict burn to 6x as the data is meant for long-term storage (10 to 20 years). Discs wrote flawlessly.
