I've burned several of these discs without any issues. I use a Pioneer BDR-X13U-X which is a fantastic burner/player. No coasters, I will buy more of them.

Good BD R discs. Burning must be done at 2X speed (4X is the fastest I've been able to successfully complete a burn). This version of the disc is # 98397. I use the Maxell CD 340 drive cleaner prior to burning. Too soon to comment on longevity as I've only been using these since Dec 2024

I only buy Verbatim-brand discs for their reliability and longevity when creating the master archival backup discs for my clients' digital work product. I have been around since 2006 and have been using Verbatim brand discs for as long as there has been a choice to be made. I have yet to go back to an archived Verbatim-brand discs and had any issue with loading, data integrity or data retrieval. I cannot recommend them strongly enough.

My l g burner acknowledged them, and even though they say they're four speed power to go thirteen recorded at eight speed. I used them to back up all our family photos and videos, and then we put them in the safe deposit box. 2 disc's refused to work at $6 a disc that was $12 wasted

I facilitate corporate backups that absolutely do not intersect the internet, whatsoever. At a whopping 100GB capacity, these discs are the best value in town. Safer than SSD and more reliable than HDD, these can really outlast traditional magnetic tapes as well. Current tech does not allow for fast recording speeds but I accept this deficit in favor of the capacity and longevity, hands down!

UPDATE:Though failures were due to discs, but after switch burning software from Mac Disc Utility to Toast 20, no issues, no coasters.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Not sure if this was a bad batch, but 4 out of 10 discs failed verification. At 40%, that's a pretty steep failure rate. Now it could be my writer (Pioneer BDR-XD08B) or it could be my Mac computer using Disc Utility software, so I can't say for sure that the discs were the problem, but this was my experience.I will order another batch of these 10 discs and see if there's any difference. If i keep getting fails, I'll try another writer (if I can get one) and/or I'll try a different writing app (like Toast). And if I get better results using these discs with other systems, I'll be back to let you know.

I've been burning a ton of these for cold storage. It gives me the peace of mind that if all else fails, I can stick these in a CD or DVD reader and get my data off of it without any problems. I'm going to eventually have everything on these and then I won't have to ever worry about backups again. It does take like 4ish hours to fully burn each disk though

I've been using recordable media since the mid-1990s, and Verbatim continues to provide top-notch products at reasonable prices. Never had any trouble with their discs, whether CD-R, DVD+/-R or BD-R. Excellent quality and unbeatable longevity. If you care about your content, you can't go wrong with these. They're not the cheapest, but definitely worth the premium.
