Our substitute can be programmed when necessary
Our replacement usually requires no programming, but in case it does, you will receive video instructions along with the remote. Just scan the QR code on the back of the remote to initiate the programming process for your AC.

If all 3 Video instructions do not help you. Please follow this step.
If all the instructions don't get you up and running. Please set your receiver to the state as in the photo on the left. The receiver is the part connected to the wall that receives the signal from your remote. There are many channels that the receiver can be on. But please set it to this channel for guaranteed success with
our remote.
Also if you have any issues with the remote we sent you, please let us know so that we can get you up and running.

After 12+ years of having a broken remote and being unable to open our skylight in our bathroom...THIS WORKED!! Now we are able to remove the nasty screen and clean it and breathe some fresh air. Besides the hefty price, I am very happy with this purchase. Note: It did not indicate which button to press for the skylight as it is a universal remote with many features. I just kept pressing buttons until the red light came on the motor and it started to open. Also, no additional batteries are necessary for this remote. It comes ready out of the box.UPDATE:: 2 days later I am unable to use the remote to now CLOSE the skylight. None of the buttons seem to work. HELP!!

Received unit, tried everything to get it to work, spoke with company rep 2x. After aboutb2 weeks they sent an email saying they were recalling item. So we are in the process of returning and back to where we started because noone makes this remote any longer.

Like others struggled to find a replacement. I actually contacted Velux and they said the old remote is discontinued and to try this one from Remotes Remade. Had trouble pairing at first because the security code on our receiver had been changed. Thankfully I had a little juice left in my old remote to reset to the default security code. Once I did that, bam worked perfect. Not sure what I would have done without the old remote to reset the code though.

Forget those hard-to-find, over-priced, vintage Velux remotes on eBay. This tiny wonder paired (pretty much straight out of the package) with my vintage Velux skylight, making it usable (open/close) again. YouTube video explains the pairing process. Don't expect any customer assistance, however.

Got the remote and tried it on the Skylight. I do not have the blinds, only the window. Worked just as advertised. I am glad to find a replacement for the Velux WLR 160 50 02 other than on eBay. Not sure what I would be getting on eBay, especially at the prices they were quoting.
