Acceptable quality. These are not quite the best. I am looking for excellent quality, i.e. German made.small dissections blunt scissors to do venesection in a newborn puppy

I have no intention of using this set for any kind of surgical use but instead got them for the hemostats. I do a lot of electronic work and these are perfect to hold wires and to grab and hold small parts. I might use the scissors to cut labels, strings and very small wires. All in all a nice set, just not for veterinary or surgical use.

The Solid DEXSUR Stainless Veterinary Umbilical Cord Scissor Kit contains all of the tools needed to manage several Veterinary processes on the small animals to much larger animals. The Surgical Stainless tool kit is built out of time tested materials that will last a lifetime with proper care. I love that everything fits into the included handy tool bag with everything in its proper space.

Caveat: I am a veterinarian so I’m used to working with veterinary-quality instruments, and these definitely are NOT that quality. You get what you pay for and these are cheap. They certainly aren’t “premium quality†like the description states. Every one of the instruments has some sort of defect or gouge in it. Are the instruments still usable? Yes. Are they high enough quality for a professional? ABSOLUTELY not. Due to the gouges it is very difficult to get the instruments completely clean before autoclaving them. I would NOT recommend these to anyone in the medical field.Where these instruments have a place is for someone looking to have basic hemostats/forceps and scissors for farm use. The quality is good enough for that as long as you realize the instruments won’t be sterile. The hemostats do clamp although one is impossible to unclamp with only one hand as the “teeth†by the finger holes are too tight. The scissors are sharp and good for trimming navels or amputating extra teats from heifers. The carrying case is nothing special and is already starting to come apart after gentle and minimal use.I wouldn’t get this set again.
