Received the package. Packaging was simple (styrofoam, bubble wrap ). The product came out of the box all assembled and in great shape. Visually inspecting the wheel, everything looks brand new and no damage. I turned the wheel on and tested all of the buttons. They all work and the wheel spins perfectly. No wobble no shake. The wheel feels strong and good torque. I pressed down with my palm as the wheel was spinning. The power feels plenty to be able to center 20 pounds of clay. I have not centered any clay on it yet but I will update the review as soon as I do. So far so good.

I purchased and returned twice. The first one's base was badly damaged. The second one's table was not level. However, the table was so tight on the motor shaft, that I could not adjust it. And "Yes" I did remove the motor set screw to loosen the table. Sending a picture of the "Not level" table. It's off by 1/8 inch. Two strikes and you are out.

Pretty sure nifty considering the alternatives. It does have a little wobble to it which makes centering difficult. For the price, though, seems manageable. I am a beginner and this has been super fun. Great fod deciding if it's a long term hobby worth investing in.

This came very quickly and it was a gift to my wife. She has not actually used it but has been playing around with it. She likes the variable speeds that it spends.

I bought this pottery wheel to give to my father. He was so touched upon receiving it that he cried a bit. Best present ever.

This pottery wheel is excessively poor quality in every aspect. The controls are sloppy and loose and feel as if they will break at any moment. The general construction is less than harbor freight or dollar store quality. The pulley wheel underneath that runs the wheel head was not concentric, and the drive belt rubbed. The motor mounts are made from bolts nuts stacked and welded together. And as a cherry on top, the cheap rubber feet of the machine have the acrid smell of the cheapest rubber. This wheel is considerably cheaper than a decent machine. I suppose I could have made some items on it had I not returned the machine, but it was going to be a gift and I could not give such an item to someone. If this machine was $50 or less it might be worth getting. Otherwise you should save the money you would have spent on this and put it towards a reputable companies machine.

Got this for a project where I had to make many cups, plates, and bowls in a short amount of time. My once a week sessions at a studio wasn't cutting it. This allowed me to turn a corner of my home into a studio and finish my project on time. Having used it everyday for several hours for the past 2 weeks, I can say that it works and I'm impressed, but there are limitations compared to the wheels that are in the studio.First is the height. Lower than ergonomically pleasant. I've taken to just crouching in front of the machine to centre my clay, and then sitting back on a low footstool when pulling. It's manageable, but not the most comfortable. Second is the stability. When it initially came, I found a wobble in my pots, and a bounce in the wheel. Turns out either the floor or the feet weren't even. I wasn't able to adjust them and had to slip a cardboard box under the shorter foot. After this, the wobble stopped. Third is the lack of foot pedal. Just something to get used to. Can be a bit annoying when you have to fine tune the speed a lot. You have to keep taking your hands off the clay. Fourth - no holes for a bat. Fifth, echoing others' reviews, the cable is quite short and it was a little tricky finding a spot that I could work from. Sixth, the basin walls were a bit low, which lead to splatter around the machine while centring.Aside from those points, I'm very impressed with this. The wheel does sometimes make a clicking sound. I found the sound worse when the machine wasn't level and the issue resolved for the most part after tucking in that piece of cardboard under one foot. The wheel is very quiet otherwise. The spinning plate is very grippy...I find my clay slides off the surface while centring at the studio but doesn't have that problem here. The speed dial is quite sensitive once it gets turning. Even though the splash basin isn't removable, it's been quite easy to clean. The box came faster than expected and was very securely packaged. to ensure a safe transport. Quite happy with this purchase overall.
