The box is MUCH heavier than you expect it to be. However, it is one solid piece of wood. Not sure how I expected it to show up, but that wasn't it. We started taking everything out of the box and everything was there. Then came the building. The very first piece to put together was missing... get this... there were no holes for the large screws to go through. It took me over a half hour, a drill, screwdriver, hole punch and a lot of arm work to make holes big enough that we could put it together. After we got it on (and you couldn't tell we had to do it) the rest of it went pretty well. Pay attention to how the wire rack goes onto the top. The diagram doesn't designate it, but 2-3 steps later it was obvious we had it upside down.Once it was all together and we put it on the washer and dryer, it looks GREAT.. Wife was thrilled with it, no more items falling between the cracks or behind the washer/dryer. Now to see if it keeps from vibrating off the top or not.

An economical solution to provide a much needed folding area on top of my front loading washer and dryer which reside in a snug closet behind bi-fold doors. The shelf mounted at the back of the countertop also provides additional space for laundry products. Additionally the framework around three sides keeps things from falling off the back and sides. Assembly is straightforward but because of the size it is helpful to have two people to maneuver the unit simply because of its size and weight (over 30 pounds).The User Manual is clear and has few words and mostly step-by-step graphics in the typical do it yourself furniture assembly style. There are over 30 connectors that are used to assemble the countertop and shelf by using the included cross head (Phillips) screwdriver and Allen wrench/Hex key/. I used a 5/32nd socket wrench instead of the Hex key which made the task easier. The small wood connectors slipped in easily but it may be wise to have a rubber mallet handy (not included) in case the fit is tight.The parts are all labeled which is always helpful. Everything lined up perfectly so assembling the pieces was uneventful and the unit is surprisingly solid and looks good. I appreciate that an extras of the hardware and connectors are provided just in case one was lost or damaged. Hooks are included which may be placed on the side if desired. Also the unassembled unit is very well insulated for transit and it arrived in perfect condition. Very pleased.

We're excited to have this shelf in our laundry room. Things were getting pretty chaotic between the separate washer and dryer and random stuff falling off the back/sides and its nice to have a fresh start with something designed for the task! It wasn't a perfect fit for our set but pretty close and seems to not be hurting it to have one set of the rubber pads underneath just hanging off into the air a bit.My kid who put it together for us mentioned there were a few dings in it when it came but I didn't notice any up top where it mattered. I wouldn't say the upper shelf is ROCK solid, especially in the middle it seems like it could have used another support there but so long as we don't load it up with huge tubs of detergent or whatever I think it will be fine.

This looks pretty nice and heavier duty than I expected. Very happy with it. Only issue is I have a gap between my washer and dryer so it doesn't stick all the way across both fully.Definitely recommend. Does a good job keeping things from moving around when the spin cycle is running in the washer.

Check the measurements!! I stupidly didn't because washers and dryers are pretty standard size and we've just upgraded ours to bigger machines so thought it would be fine looking at the pictures. It is on me to check the measurements but those images are so misleading. Definitely photoshopped to look like it fits the machines. My hangs over the front just as much as it hangs over the side.
