This smelting/furnace/forge gets to heat quickly and is excellent for knife making. I originally ordered it for melting brass, copper, etc… however it has now replaced my original forge.

This furnace is disappointing. The build quality feels cheap, and the insulation isn’t great—it loses heat too quickly. The burner is inefficient, making it hard to reach and maintain high temperatures. The crucible also wears out faster than expected. Overall, not worth the money.

The furnace as a whole is fine, it does what it’s supposed to. My problem with it was the tops handle melted off on the first burn and the fire brick cracked and fell apart as well. Other then that, it was a great bargain for the price

The furnace certainly cranks out some heat, and the capacity is nice, compared to the much smaller furnace I’m used to.Ignition (especially reignition) can be fiddly, but I found success by holding the jet valves closed to let pressure build up on the dial, then opening them one at a time.Build quality is disappointing, however. The lid has warped severely after only a few uses so it doesn’t seal, and flames shoot down the sides of the furnace, probably causing further problems in future. This is the reason for the 3 star rating.

I ordered this in September for my partners birthday (Nov 1st) I didn’t take it out of the box, when he opened it there are parts missing and it can’t work without them, looks a lovely product despite that but right now is nothing more than an ornament, have messaged seller but no response at present, will update review if I receive a response

Very fast delivery.A few hiccups. But got everything working just fine. I'm not sure if it was supposed to come with assembly instructions, but mine did not. It is pretty easy to assemble though, for the most part. I had to remove a plastic washer from the end of the regulator to fit the propane tank. Not sure if it was supposed to come off, but no bubbles, no leak. I also added a hose clamp to each end of the hose. Did a soap test and fired it up. Works great!
