Rods have a nice smooth finish, heavy weight for lasting use. The slide blocks are also well made and slide easily along the rods. The tap holes are threaded for M6 bolts and about 3/8" deep.Great for quickly putting together a router sled if you buy two sets. Easy enough to mount permanently or use "as needed." You can find the video for doing that on youtube. .

I thought the base of the rails would match the width of the sliding blocks.Not so. Could be I didn't look close enough at the available pieces.What I did build with the pieces I purchased works great.

Will use these on a sliding table for my tablesaw. Feel sturdy, not quite as smooth as I would like hence the 4 stars. Should work well for what I have in mind though.

I wasn't expecting what I received. These rails are professional quality that can more than likely accommodate a ton of load, honestly, 2,000 pounds. I don't know for sure, but man, these babies are perfectly chromed and glide so smooth. I have a Snap-On 9 drawer from the 1950s loaded with 200 lbs or more weight, and the rails and slides let you move the chest with a single finger.

They are heavy and slides are pretty smooth (catches in a couple places) but overall they are not flat by approximately 1/8 inch or more from end to end. (They cup upwards). Should work for my needs if I figure out how to firmly bolt them onto a true flat surface but that may be difficult. As heavy as they are I'm just disappointed they aren't closer in tolerance based on the published specs.The specs call out the threaded holes as M5. Not even close

Ordered these, to use as rails for a loft on a tiny house. They work great. They are solid and well built. Will use again.

I was not sure what to expect at this price point. I am accustomed to paying many more times the price for similar product from our favorite "McM... " store. Anyway I am extremely pleased by the quality at this price point.I rarely leave reviews but had to for this product!
