I expected the minor dents and scratches.I cannot rotate the compound axis, as you can see there is measurement degrees but I cannot find a clamping/unclamping screw nor is there any information in the users manual. I would have put a 5 star review but this non moving compound is an issue with me.

Initial setup doesn't show any issues. Great lathe for the price.

The machine arrived all rusty with dents and paint chips. The manufacturer responded to the application for more than two weeks with the final decision:"You can use sandpaper to polish it, which will not affect the use.Thank you again for your support and trust. We are committed to providing an excellent customer service experience and look forward to providing you with excellent service."

Oil pan was dented such that it does not lay flat due to X axis handle banging into it in the crate, control box face plate looks like someone punched it, and Y axis has no markings for distance.

One piece broken upon arrival. Doesn't affect usage. Good sturdy machine.

Arrived slightly beat up from handling.Just a few dents, but nothing that was not fixable.I am impressed with the quality. It actually had metal gears.I thought the start solenoid PB was faulty. The company is sending a replacement. But further investigation:After further investigation I discovered that the coil connects between terminal #4 (120 vac supply) then once the PB is pushed then to termina A1.A1 needs a neutral connection to hold the contacts in.This lathe was wired incorrectly as the A1 wire went to forward reverse switch terminal 9 then to terminal 10 which connected to the supply terminal on the board. That wire connected to the F/R switch #10 should have been connected to the neutral J1 terminal on the board, not the supply. So, it appears that the original switch was not bad, only a wiring mistake at Vevor.Even their print is incorrect. Check it out!
