The locking mechanism as a whole is plastic/non metal. Not sure what they were thinking with that. While this would still be a deterrent for petty thieves with just the look of it, if they really want your packages, one swing with a small hammer can open the door. But the idea is to make them work for it, so this will do the trick.

Awful product that is NOT IPx3 weather, snow or "typhoon" reistant. We had a light rain and it got more water in it than I have ever seen in a dropbox before. Do not buy this if you're not putting it under a porch or awning. When I reached out to the manufacturer they said that it is not weather resistant and to not believe the listing description.

Product was nice, not bad for the money but not secure. Person could lift lid and stick their arm all the way to the bottom. We modified it to work for what we needed.

I've purchased Vevor products in the past and been satisfied. The description and installation video for this product is laughable... First, the wall anchor is inserted half way into what appears to be vinyl siding. Secondly, they are trying to secure the anchor screw WITH A DRILL BIT. Finally, the lock uses a 3 digit code... NOT a Password.The marketing Description and video are cringe worthy.
