What is a VFD
The function of frequency converter is to change the frequency and amplitude of motor drive current to achieve smooth control of motor speed. The emergence of frequency converters simplifies complex speed control, reduces the chance of motor failure and is more energy efficient.
Built-in cooling fan
The VFD will generate heat during operation, and the VFD is equipped with a cooling fan inside to force air cooling. To ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation, the VFD (wall-mounted) should be installed in vertical direction.
Double screen display
Unique dual screen design: The upper screen displays preset values and the lower screen displays the current operating parameters, which can display a wide range of operating parameters. It is more convenient and easy to work on.

I'm only using this as a single to three phase converter, not using any of the speed control features. I originally bought a DPS converter but turns out they don't work for a lot of motors since they don't give full voltage on all three wires. The Mollom does and works great for my application. The downside is it's not plug and play. Tech support is great, I just emailed them my motor specs and they sent me the settings and it works great. The manual is lacking and so you pretty much have to email tech support, but I'm really happy with it.

Worked great. The manual in the box is better than the the PDF version. One point of confusion for me was the sticker on the unit says input is only 3 phase 50hz but I emailed them and they confirmed that single phase 60hz would be fine.... After wiring the unit (230v single phase 60hz supply) I entered the motor data and adjusted frequency range for my motor. Next I ran the stationary auto tune. After that every thing worked perfectly. If you have worked with VFD's in the past this one is fairly similar to most others. Great value for the money.... I would buy again.

Worked fine for a couple of minutes, wasn't too hard to figure out the programming, hooked it to the compressor and test ran it with the valves open for a minute, closed the valves and, when the motor started loading up, BAM. Piece of junk. Of course I waited too long to try it out, so no returns either. Phooey.

I had to replace a Lenze VFD that blew during a lightning storm for my German lathe and works great so far.The machine has a 2.2 KW 240V / 380V 3 phase motor and it works great so far on 230 single phase.The setup was a little complicated with all the settings but customer service is knowledgeable and awesome, they reply very quick.

Replaced the VFD for the fan on my commercial HVAC unit. The original one (different brand) went bad after 2 years. So far, working great.

I recently bought a large compressor at an auction that has a 3-phase motor. I bought this VFD to convert single phase 220 to 3 phase. I have since decided to buy a single phase 220 motor for the compressor, but plan to use the VFD as a speed control on one of my bandsaws to set it up for cutting metal. Once I learned the versatility of a VFD I saw a lot of other applications and plan to buy more for the shop.

This thing is running our greenhouse fan motor works very well. No issues so far. Update only runs 220 output at 5.8 amps which leaves our fan motor running at 13 hz which seems to draw enough air past it to keep it cool enough. But I would liked to have ran it above 20 hz. Maybe play with pulley ratio to increase performance

Forget the Digital phase converters (DPS) and the other VFD’s on the market. Unless your application is very basic, and you are very handy with electrical wiring and programming, you will need assistance. There are very few companies as prompt and helpful as Mollom. No only do they answer the same day(time difference allowed for) they have a clear and comprehensive understanding of what you are asking. They go above and beyond to be of assistance and are very helpful and professional. I have rarely meet any Company willing to take this care and attention to after sale’s assistance for products in this price range.Local USA VFD’s are significantly more expensive, and they insist an electrician install them. With Mollom, you have assistance all the way.Great company, the best factory assistance
