I bought this for tax season. I'm retired but do 30 hours/week during tax time. I had a Victor for 25 years on my work desk. I've missed the reliability and speed, but now have it again. Reasonably priced, this machine is just what I need. Highly recommended.

I'm a tax accountant and love using old school methods instead of excel for everything. I have customers that still want paper filing of their taxes. I purchased one of these and loved it, so I purchased a second for the home office. I prefer the buttons have some resistance because I have a heavy hand, so this model fits the bill. One observation I noticed about this unit regarding the printer is the clarity of the type fades in direct correlation to how many digits are stamped simultaneously. So one digit is very dark but 12 digits is noticeable lighter. The striking pressure must be divided along the surface of all the printing feet (if that vision what you call them). At first I thought the ribbon was garbage so I replaced the first one... nope, it's just how this thing works.

As someone who does accounting for a living this calculator makes it so much easier. I fly over the keys and it keeps up. You would not be disappointed if you were to purchase this.

I have been using Victor calculators forever. Love the black, and the lit numbers,. I work long hours, and especially when working at night I can see the numbers well. Sturdy and dependable...love such a nice heavy duty.

The add key doesn't operate correctly. As you tap the key there is resistance and it does not function as intended. It would be a great calculator other than that.

I loved this calculator. The touch of the key pad was very good, was quiet and fast. After only 3 months I had a malfunction where it would constantly clear on its own while I was inputting numbers. Made it impossible to use. Customer service was excellent and I am ready to replace it with this exact same model hoping the problem I had with the first one was just a fluke. It is a beautiful calculator and looks great on the desk also.

If you're old like me and like the way buttons feel and sound, you will probably not like this machine.The printing is slower than my old machine. The buttons are close which is good for me and the placement of the x button was great. But, unless I stretched my neck or hovered directly over the machine, I could not see the bottom of the display. There's a black border around the display which interferes with my view. A tall person or someone who like the machine as close as possible might be ok with it.
