This is a nice product but it displays 16:9 only and no way to adjust it to 4:3 format.

This adapter's input wire colors did not match with the proper output wire colors. However, once I figured it out, the adapter worked.I connected my Wii to my new TV using this component cable adapter but no input was detected. After several other options, as a final troubleshoot I connected the yellow output cable from my Wii into different inputs in the adapter. I found that the white input on the adapter is what matched up with the yellow output cable. The audio wires (red and white) then needed to go into the red and yellow inputs on the adapter. This was frustrating, but ultimately the adapter works so I won't give it 1 star, but it was frustrating setting this up and I could see others thinking that something more serious was wrong.

After checking the pinout, I figured I could just swap white and yellow around and that would work on my Sony Bravia, seeing as it’s almost impossible to buy the right cable in the UK for these TV’s.Worked PERFECTLY. 10/10 would recommend.For Sony TV’s just swap the white and yellow when plugging in.
