It works very well with my older HP laptop. I upgraded from previous HP 24" monitor and I find this slightly bigger size better on the eyes for viewing the various text I need to look at all day (using 1920x1080).If I have any regrets it is just that I did not get built in speakers BUT this was easily remedied with some simple Pebble speakers.

I liked the value, look, and design. The screens are both vibrant and have great color. I don't game on them so can't offer much opinion. I'd suspect it's ok but not great if your looking for response times.The only con is the power cord, which is so sort it can't even reach a nearby outlook with my standing desk up. I'd gladly spend whatever extra it would have cost to add a few feet. The control knob placement is awkward at best, and also serves as the power switch. Note for newbies.

When you monitors gives up a black screen, you order this one to replace it. Works perfectly and has built in speakers. Very nice. Connects easy, sets up nicely and is ready to go in a matter of minutes (once you dust around where the old one was removed)!

Pros: Picture quality is excellent; good contrast and brightness, very sharp, bright, clear picture. Finish is good and looks great on my desk. Screen has a low glare matte finish. Sync options and fast response time make it great for games.Cons: Mount only tilts, and doesn't move up and down. Power LED is blue, but at least it's not blindingly bright. Comes with a wall-wart power supply instead of a more convenient inline brick.Overall a great value for the money, just a few minor drawbacks which are easily outweighed by the pros.

This is an excellent monitor my wife has a pair of these in their 27 inch version on her Mac Mini duel monitor setup computer and I have a pair of the same model in the 24 inch version on my Mac Mini duel monitor setup computer. The monitors are well matched the colour is the same on both monitors and the contrast and brightness can be easily adjusted to match both monitors as well the monitors even mine have lots of room for evaluating videos or photos of just haveing work out on one monitor as file folders ready to be used.
