This Raspberry Pi 4 B kit from Vilros has absolutely everything you need to build your Raspberry Pi 4 included. I highly recommend getting a kit that has a case with fan, as the RaspberryPi 4 B runs hot because of its increased performance. The kit overall is great, anyone who has built a computer or RaspberryPi before will feel right at home and breeze through installation of the heatsinks, the chipset inside the case, and plugging the fan in. This is actually my first Raspberry Pi, but I have built many a desktop computer previously, but the fact that these kits are available without any markup is fantastic, it removes the guesswork from piecing together what you need to start. Installing Raspbian is a breeze, NOOBS pops up right as you boot for the first time. The performance of this little guy is impressive, I purchased the 2GB model while on sale from its normal $89.99 price to $69.99(cheaper at the time then the 1GB model which was $79.99, and significantly less then the 4GB model at $99.99). For the $69.99 price tag you really cant beat it, thats only a few dollars more then the standalone 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 B normally costs!I will say, the default fan settings puts it on high, which makes a kind of whining high pitched noise because its going so fast, some people can find it annoying, but honestly the cooling it does is impressive. I did some research prior to purchasing and the heat output these Pi4’s push out is high, especially under any higher level processing so for me it was a no brainer to get a case with fan. The clear case is a nice touch for any nerd or anyone who appreciates the architecture of a well put together chipset.I am NOT good at computer science/coding, and some of those skills are necessary to an extent for many of the applications of RaspberryPi’s. That being said, it is a relatively inexpensive, forgiving device and a great one to learn on. The Raspbian OS if you do the full install, will look somewhat familiar no matter what normal OS youre used to, as it has a desktop, start menu, file explorer and trash can.I do regret not getting the 4GB model to some extent, while my device is very quick all things considered, I wonder how much the extra 2GB of RAM would have made a difference, my suggestion to others would be at MINIMUM purchase the 2GB model(esp if on sale obviously), but I would strongly recommend purchasing the 4GB model so you can demand more of it moving forward as it will age better.Another thing I am doing to see if I can boost the performance at all is getting a better MicroSD card. Dont get me wrong, the MicroSD card that ships with this kit is quite sufficient for almost everything and everyone, but I wanted a 64gb card so I went for a Sandisk Extreme Pro which is supposed to have some of the best performance in a Pi4(benchmarks available on Pi’s website). Hopefully this will make it just a bit faster.All in all, this kit is fantastic, and I cannot recommend it enough. It arrived the same day as I ordered it, was well put together, well thought out, well designed and functions great. Its very nice that there is no guesswork if you will have everything you need, as long as you have a keyboard/mouse and monitor your all set. You will be hard pressed to find a device with performance you find in this kit in the same price range, so if youre on the fence, just pull the trigger. And if youve never purchased a Pi before, like myself...just do it, the uses for them are truly endless!

My purchase was the RasPi4-4Gb model. WOW! This Vilros package was the complete deal; everything needed to get up and running in just a few minutes. Have purchased half a dozen RasPi's, but the assembly of this case was as simple as putting the Pi in the bottom, putting the heat sinks on, connecting the two fan wires (the fan was already assembled to the top), clicking the top of the case on, inserting the microSD card, and plugging in the power supply and micro-HDMI cable. It took almost as long to type that sentence as it did to get this up and running. I already had a raspbian-Buster image that I had conjured for one of my RasPi-3B+'s, so I didn't use the included NOOBs 32 Gb microSD card.Am using this on an old 1080p TV, so haven't tried the 4K stuff. But am able to easily stream TV and youtube videos via the omxplayer (I built a clunky little C/GTK3+ front-end that makes streaming/playing full screen videos a snap).The fan and heat sinks keep this in the 40-to-50 C range. Cool and sweet!Am able to run 4 desktops, and have added a few Compiz effects that make this a virtual clone of my desktop Linux box, although my desktop is running Fedora 30 with Mate/Compiz. All with memory to spare.This is without a doubt a screaming good deal! I heartily recommend it to anyone looking to get started in the future of computing. The guys at raspberry pi have built an epic monster. And Vilros puts the icing on top. Simple. Powerful. Easy. I can't put into words how great I think this kit is. If you've wanted a RasPi but were reluctant to jump, give it a go - you can't go wrong for the price.Pros: price, complete kit, easy to assemble, ready to go.Cons: it took four days to get here.Addendum: when I got the package and assembled it, the fan was barely audible. But over the course of a few weeks, it slowly got louder. I shut it down, popped the top off, and tightened the four screws holding the fan and pushed the top back on. It is now quiet again.

I use to build computers for a living, this is easy to assemble for a beginner, the instructions are clear. As to the product itself, even tough the computer is about the size of a deck of cards it plays videos well, does spreadsheets, writes documents, browses the internet and a whole lot more that it does nicely. Buy one for each of your children, buy one for yourself. There is a bit of a lag on things when you change tasks, such as going from writing to going online to do research. I find that a bit annoying but once the Pi catches up with the change-over the speed is acceptable and the price is fantastic.I have had a computer since the mid 1970's, my dad was a computer engineer when I was ² in 1964. I have owned many computers some, most have never heard of but this has been a fun computer for me, you can have multiple Operating Systems,where it functions as an arcade game system, a regular desktop for business, household or personal computer, use it to learn to program in Python, if you want to take 6 hard drives and serve your entire house with media or serve files for a business, this can do it! It also has robotics interface built in, so if you or your kid geeks out over killer robots this computer does it. The user system interface is easy enough, when you turn it on you can pick whether you want a media system, a desktop or whatever your specialty might be from the menu, the system configures to the task and then you are ready to go or you just tell it to install a single system and use it like you would a PC laptop or desktop
