Your cart is empty.The Canon AE-1 Program is a 35 mm single-lens reflex camera that uses Canon's FD mount lenses. It was introduced in 1981 as the successor to the Canon AE-1, five years after that camera's introduction. The major difference was the addition of the Program AE mode first seen in the A-1. This mode sets both the shutter speed and aperture automatically, albeit with a slight bias towards the shutter speed setting. The user focuses the camera and then presses the shutter button. For those desiring more control, the AE-1's shutter priority auto-exposure and full manual modes are still available.

I waited to finish two rolls of film before I wrote this review as I wanted to make sure that what I was saying was correct. This camera is amazing, the light meter works perfectly, it’s cleaned, every button works as it should, and it doesn’t feel used or old but brand new. It shipped quickly, the price was very reasonable and as a photography major I could not be happier. It was money well spent.

Got this for my Intro to Black & White Photography class this semester, and this has been an excellent camera! Came in perfect working order—no cosmetic or mechanical issues what-so-ever with the camera or the lens. Shipping was quick, too! Would definitely buy from this seller again.

This is an excellent camera for any film enthusiast, weather you're a seasoned pro or a total newbie this camera is for you. It's very light weight compared to older models, as it is made up primarily of plastic and not metal, which makes it a great camera to carry anywhere. The viewfinder is so nice and clear, and the light meter is simple to use. Just make sure you have a 6v battery, or the camera will not work! I got mine in excellent condition, exactly as described by the seller. I cannot wait to test this camera out some more and get the film developed!

I trusted the reviews so I bought the camera. Unfortunately I got seriously sick and was barely able to use the camera last month. Replaced the battery since I was gonna use it for the first time and it won’t fire up. Won’t even accept any batteries no matter how many different ones I’ve bought. Completely messed up camera. I wouldn’t have wasted my money on different batteries if I knew it was the camera that was fried.

I have had this camera for 2 years and four months now. Although there seems to be no purpose in writing a review for a used camera considering anything I say about it will be unique to my camera considering they don't make these anymore -- I love it! This is my first "serious" film camera. Whoever had this camera originally took very good care of it. Everything works properly. I also received it with an included Canon camera strap, batteries, 50mm lens and even some film. It really is a joy to shoot with and I'm happy with my purchase.

First thing I notices was that the battery door was broken, but i dont have a probblem with that because thats a main problem. The next thing is that it didn't come with the grip that covers part of the battery door, so my door randomly pops open. The Last thing is that it came with one battery but it doesnt work, so my camera doesnt work. I will replace the battery and I will update this review if my camera works. Other then these problems the camera looks great and feels great. I hope I can get this working, i cant wait to start shooting film.UPDATE** It works with a new battery!!

The camera came quickly and was well packaged. I was not able to load the film ... it needs a battery for all operations. This is not an issue with the camera but me not reading the manual, I downloaded the "funny" 80th style manuals from the Canon website. I had a problem buying 35mm films and 6V battery locally. So if you buy the camera i suggest to order films and batteries at the same time from Amazon.The camera was clean and all functions work. I am now shooting pictures and look forward to the first photos.

The camera is literally like new! At first I was worried about getting scammed, but in the end, I did not and the camera was in perfect condition. Definitely worth the price and a great selection for beginners!

The camera came with the wrong lens, Id assume it would come with a 50mm f1.8 but got the 35-70mm instead and the lever part where you turn the film is loose...
