Removed my upstairs passage way carpet and upgraded with vinyl flooring. However, I was so worried about the height differences between the bathroom tile floor and the new vinyl floor for about 5/8". Couldn't find an exact match of transition that needs no drilling or metal railing. Luckily I found this self adhesive floor transition that is so flexible enough to adjust itself to any height differences in between 1/2" - 7/8". Product works very well as shown in the photo and highly recommend it to all home DIYer with no special tools needed for the installation !

It was a solid piece of transition . However, It did not work for my floor transition because the rise was too short on my floor. Therefore, I would suggest that you need to measure the transition rise to make it work. The materials was stiff to make any adjustment for my low transition rise.

This was perfect for the entrance between our dining and living room. Durable, steady and stays in place.

I used this for a transition between rooms that has an awkward step up of about an inch. This did work well for about a month, but then it came loose and would not go back into pace and stay, it was essentially worthless.

This door transition is made of SOFT rubber - and it's hollow, so every time I roll something over it, it squishes down and wants to unpeel itself from the attached double sided tape. If it were made of a stronger rubber, it might have been more useful, but as is, this is just a VERY soft, squishy transition piece between uneven layers of flooring. I'll be looking for something more solid.

Stiff and has an artificial look to it!

It came rolled up in a zip-lock plastic bag, so I had to flatten it with some weight on top for a couple of days to get it to lay flat.Nice color, dark grey, goes with almost anything. Very easy to trim to length with ordinary scissors and has peel off strip covering a powerful adhesive. One side of the transition is hickory conventional 3/4" hardwood floor, and the other side is a bathroom floor with 12" square ceramic tiles laid in a bias pattern. We cut a piece of wood to fill a somewhat narrow gap between the two floors. The tiled side has grout between tiles, so it was not exactly flat, but we pressed the transition into place and so far, it is holding okay. We might have to use another kind of adhesive if it lifts along the way, but so far, so good! And it really looks good, too, after looking at the gap and different elevations of the two floors for some years. This was easier to install than a metal transition we used elsewhere with construction adhesive.
