I am sooooo happy that I ordered this one... My child has violin class at school for this and next year. I went to their first performance... and wanted to cry... all the kids had very bad bow holding ( and violin holding) techniques. There is no way I could afford the original bow hold buddy. I was considering to get those half price "caterpillars", but they are not adjustable, and they block the contact points for fingers 3 and 4. This one is PERFECT. It looks like it is shaped just like the orinal one. You can move it bit closer or further apart. You can use only the "pinky " part if you wish so. It is made out of soft silicone ( I heard that sometimes it's too hard, feels like plastic). The only thing it doesn't come with is instructions... The easiest is to go on YouTube and find a video there or you can see how it looks on the picture and just go from there. You do need to take the bow apart to install the "crocodile " part ( it goes on the bow facing to the left, between your 2nd and 3rd finger. Your thumb will go in it's "mouth ", so position it accordingly). Then put the bow back together, and slide the "fish" on the end for your pinky. It saved a lot by getting this one, so I was able to by original bow-right thingy, since the two cheaper versions just did not work as expected. The shipping was very fast. It came a week before expected date. One last thing is... I can't seem to fit the bow in the case if it's on it... maybe I will play around and make it work or I will just leave it on and keep in mind that I cant move the case around much. My 10 year old should be able to put it on by herself, worse comes to worse.

Seem to be exactly like much more expensive ones and work well for beginner violin students needing extra work on proper bow hold
