I waited way too long to buy one of these bad boys. As a lazy reader I often skip on pulling out my book or kindle because my hands/arms get tired from holding it up for extended amounts of time. Pair this with a wireless page turner and you basically completed the Megazord of reading laziness. And I mean that in the best way.

This tablet stand is surprisingly sturdy, making it perfect for hands-free use whether I’m watching videos with my phone on bed. I used to have the flexible ones, any small movement will make them swing around, didn't like it. Overall, this one is good.

The clamp has a large rotating fixture that pressures the top part of the clamp down, otherwise that top will move freely. It has a few square inches of face, but it seems it would be better with like a 5-15% incline to help pinch the two sides together. I have a table with a metal frame under it the outer edges and this doesn’t clamp firmly to it due to the frame. This is not the first product I’ve had this problem with. But a slight pinching aspect to it seems that it would help, or maybe something at the end of the clasp so they can catch a ledge.I like the arm and the device holder is decent, but the locking doesn’t have many settings to grip. It kinda has a preset width it can hold in large incremental settings. Various things may hold tight or slightly hold, just depends. I have to really latch it down to get my iPhone to stay. So, one star down on each of those points.

I bought this for my Kindle and It works great! It functions exactly as it should, though I wish it had more range of motion. It's a very sturdy plastic but also easy to adjust to whatever height you need. It holds my kindle and phone both extremely well. Overall this is a very good product for the money spent!

It was great until the secondary arm gave out. Now I either have to use it as a 90° or have it as upright as possible so my phone isn't weighing it down. Pretty annoying.

Generally speaking, this stand is well made. The arm is solid, and the mechanism is strong enough that it can hold the weight of a table easily without dropping. So at a base level, it works. But there are a few important reasons that I can't recommend it.First, the marketing is completely misleading. 'Compatible with 3.5-11"iPad, Kindle, iPhone,' the title brags? Not on your life. My tablet is 8.5"x11", and it BARELY fits the narrow side into this holder, even when the extended holder is open. And when it does, you have to push so hard to open the clip that I'm worried about the pressure it exerts on the screen (which, in my case, is cracked already). There's no way it could open further, so don't expect this to hold an 11" screen.Second, the arm doesn't bend past 90 degrees. That means if you use it to hold a tablet for desk use you have to be OK with it being a foot off the desk. There is no way to go lower, because the first pole from the clamp is that tall and it can't actually bend like a neck.Third, the clamp assembly is plastic, which means the entire arm wobbles every time you move the surface. I have another arm for a smaller device, which has a clamp that's metal and better integrated into the arm assembly, and it barely moves at all. This arm? Bump into the table and it looks like a bobble-head.Lastly, on a bit of an odd note, it comes with an allen wrench that's not mentioned anywhere in the instructions and doesn't do anything obvious. Maybe at least add a note that says ?you shouldn't need this, we sent it just in case" or something?So... overall, it's a good product if you expect to attach it to an extremely solid surface that's at least a foot below where you need the device, and your device is about 8" or less wide. If that's how this was marketed, life would be great. Unfortunately they set higher expectations, and didn't meet them with this product.
