Having a slim profile dart barrel is necessary to obtain a closer grouping of darts to maximizing scoring. Intended for use with electronic dartboards and are ideal for casual-to-intermediate level players. Each barrel has strategically placed knurled bands, deep grooves and rings that make excellent gripping points and encourages consistent hand placement. Viper Black Ice darts are equipped with heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum shafts with locking holes and diamond-cut etchings. Locking holes in the shaft allow for a tighter fitting to the barrel that improves stability and greatly reduces the need to retighten during play. Quality flights help increase speed and reduce drag, producing a consistent flight path for pinpoint accuracy; detailed graphics are prominently displayed for added flare. These darts feature 2BA Tufflex Tips II soft tip dart points that have a reinforced cone, making them extremely strong and durable. Simply twist for a tight, secure fitting and easy removal. The barrels are compatible with all 2BA sized corkscrew thread dart points.

The darts are balanced well and mass being at the higher end of the dart mass makes it fly well and stick well in the board.

Bought these for my girlfriend. Once she got used to the 18 grams over the 14 she was throwing pretty well. These darts came with a backup pack of 3 tips, 3 flights, 3 rods, and tool for tightening. They arrived before expected ship date which is always a plus in my book. Had a few bounce outs, but most likely the board we were using, they hit the ground pretty hard and stayed intact. For the price the quality is great and the back up items are always nice to have.

Bought Viper Bobcat along with Viper Black Ice through Amazon, filled by Dart Brokers. Bobcat were $3 cheaper than Black Ice and I think very comparable - more of a style preference. Bobcat metal section is indented in middle providing a thumb/finger grip vs Black Ice which was more traditional metal ridges. Didn't fine one to be advantage over the other. Both fly very straight and I think very good intermediate/advanced beginner set. Night and day improvement compared to the basic plastic cheapies that came in my Arachnid set. May have been coincidental, but when darts dropped & hit my hardwoods - seemed to break tip on Black Ice almost every time whereas the same plastic tips seemed to only bend a bit (and can be straightened) when Bobcat's dropped.

I just started playing “real†darts. The darts that came with my soft board were showing signs of wear. These are heavier than the originals and have slightly different tips than the originals. Due to the increased weight they are harder to remove fro. The board, but they have less tendancy to bounce out of the Bullseye. Nicely made.

I took a chance on these as they were very inexpensive... Compared to other dart sets I own (steel tip Viper and Fat Cat-- also very reasonably priced) these are below average construction. The soft tips are already bent from pop outs in the first day of use. I am sticking with steel tip darts and will only purchase higher quality darts when they are on discount here at amazon... I do like the color scheme and look of these, but again not worth it as they will need to be replaced. In addition the shafts come loose easily as well. Look elsewhere to spend your 10 bucks... these are not worth half of that.
