The shutter cord didn't work. After closer inspection the cord it was dirty around where it connected to the flash and had a nick in the insulation about half way between the connections. I wouldn't buy anything from this vendor again.

I had an old Vivitar 285hv flash which did not fire regularly. Thought i'd try a different cord (flash came with PC31), got this one. This worked fine. Straight cord is not as fine looking as the coiled PC31 cord, but works A-ok firing the flash (from Yongnuo RF-603c).

THAT VIVITAR PLUG END IS SOME ANTIQUE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE ONE INCLUDE WITH MY VIVITAR 285 BECAUSE THE CHIHUAHUA CHEWED UP THE WIRE. GOT 2EA BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO LAST AS LONG AS YOUR VIVITAR 285...NOW 30YRS OLD.

I tested it. It works like a champ. If I have to buy this thing from my local photography store, I will get robbed.
