These things should last many many years. It started tripping the GFCI after only a couple months, causing my basement to flood. After troubleshooting the GFCI won't even stay on. Tried other cfci outlets in the house using extension cords. It's the pump. Trying to contact the manufacturer to see if they'll replace it. If they do I'll give a better review. Maybe I just got a faulty unit.

I have multiple gutters both house and linear feeding a small pit where this pump sits. It fills with water, the float switches it on (pro tip: play with the float a bit...I find they take some finesse to make sure they move freely) and out the water goes...up to the storm sewer. This pump strikes a balance between functionality and affordability, making it a solid choice for homeowners who need reliability without paying a premium for a big brand name. I stuck this little guy down in my... sump pump hole and turned it on after plugging it in and off it went. What a beautiful thing it is! It's been running, not constantly, but pretty close to because we've got some flooding right now and it just keeps going.

This is a very heavy duty sump pump with float switch. It is made to handle large volumes of black water waste. It stands off the bottom on three cast in place iron feet and has a ring attached to the top so a pull rope can be installed. The discharge is large at 1 1/2". The float switch has a long cord that plugs into a 120 outlet and has a female plug for the pump power cord. If the float switch fails, you can plug the pump in directly to empty the tank. This pump is made to last.
