I'm getting ready for veggie planting season, but some plants are year-rounders. I typically keep them in random spots around the house, but when one of my big mothers (not pic'd) started to flower unexpectedly and unplanned, I had to figure out the lights and living situation fast. I have propped lights, but they've gotten unruly. I needed to hang them, but I'm not putting holes in my ceilings. I've been eying grow tents for a while and you can't beat the price and quality of these Vivosun tents. I bit the bullet and ordered Tuesday, and it with other stuff I got for it came Thursday, super quick. My husband brought the tent upstairs himself in a single, long, flat box, which surprised me - it was smaller than I expected. The two of us assembled it today in about an hour. One person can almost certainly put together themselves, but I imagine it would probably take about twice as long. It's just way easier with two people. All the pieces were labeled clearly, and they were all included as expected, which is half the battle. The quality is the other half, and I was NOT disappointed at all. The fabric is heavy-duty, but it's not heavy, in a good way. Some reviews had issues with zippers, and while there's almost always going to be a ramdom defect somewhere, our zippers had ZERO issues. There were one or two tough spots where you had to go over them a couple times to iron them out, but we didn't have any splits or bad teeth. They're actually pretty stellar. The rods are a thicker mL hollowed metal, not the cheap flimsy tin. All the pins popped into place with ease, even when we realized we'd positioned a couple corners wrong and had to redo them. No problems. The dimensions are exact with no awkward slacking. The instructions are a single piece of paper with a diagram, which leaves something to be desired, but honestly it makes sense and it works. Keep in mind, though, that you will have to figure out the most practical way to "wrap" the framing with the fabric. We put the tent in my small office, so we had to make do with a half and half approach, putting the left half into the unzipped fabric and then attaching the right half. There's more than one way to skin a cat, though, so look at how they suggest you put it together, but know that there are probably 4 other ways to assemble based on your space. So the first hour was the tent assembly and the rest was the fan, lights, wiring, plant placement and customizing, which took about 2 hours. Now I have properly hung lights and ventilation, and my girls and I truly could not be happier. My only complaint is now I don't get to see my girls whenever I walk past and smile, but I know they're happy, healthy, and it's for their own good. In a week when I do my veggie seeds, I know they're going to do awesome in this new space too!

I have to give this product 5 stars as it did the job for me, despite of some features that aren’t optimal.I have a storage room under my house that is 6’ tall and the 72†tent is exactly what I needed. I ended up buying two of the 96†by 48†by 72†tents for my tropical herb garden. Here’s the good the bad and the ugly:The good1. Shipped quickly2. Very well packaged3. No missing parts4. Sturdy materials5. Easy to install despite of minimal documentationThe bad and ugly (not really..)1. The tent cross section is hexagon shaped and it was designed that way to fit attic spaces it seems. I would much prefer if it was a simple box shape. Which would give a much desired head room for me and the plants.2. Due to its shape the doors are too short and make it less convenient for me to enter and exit the tent.3. Some people complain about the zippers snd I see why. The zippers are robustly made but may be a bit resistant in the beginning. I gently unzipped them all the way through snd zipped again snd now they are fine.4. The tent has some inbuilt holes in the shorter sides of the tent, to enable air intake and exhaust as well as supplies. It would have been good to have some holes located in the longer sides of the tent.

It's almost impossible to put together a 4x8x6 by yourself in an enclosed area but otherwise it's outstanding. It took about 2 hours following the instructions and fumbling around awkwardly to get it together. Once you've got this bad boy zipped up and taught though it's surprisingly sturdy and VERY well constructed. I purchased my unit without the air filtration or blower system since I'm mainly using it as a terrarium for reptiles and hatching aviary eggs. The vent holes for that ventilation system are able to close and cinch down pretty tight to where I'm confident you won't have any issues with pests or moisture getting in. Fabric and zippers are very heavy duty and held up to me manhandling it into position in a small basement closet. I have no doubt that it will last many years if properly cared for. I will update this review after a few months of growing leafy greens and raising hatchlings to report if any issues arrise.

If it didn’t have the sloped roof I’d give it 5 stars.I’ve been using it about a year and the quality is fine. The zipper does stick once in a while but I’ve had that problem on past tents and it’s an easy fix usually. My biggest complaint is the sloped roof. It restricts your light height to only 5 feet if that. That extra foot makes a huge difference sometimes. It would be great if the roof were square. I’m also using a 3x3 the same height with a conventional roof. It allows for use of the entire ceiling of the tent to hang my light.Overall all, if you’re not planning on growing tall plants it’s a good buy. Set up was easy and the zipper only came off once. Seems to hold a decent amount of weight and fits great in by basement which has 7 foot ceilings. I wish they’d redesign the roof to allow for full access of the tent height. I’d love to have another one with a standard roof. This was the only 4x8 that I could find with a 6 foot ceiling.

Fast shipping. Didn't think it was going to be as sturdy as it is when put together. Super easy to setup and great thick quality material. Very satisfied!

Works OK and seems sturdy enough for me to hang two large heavy grow lights, ventilation, power, cameras, and airpump.Only problem is it's just too short, I consider myself of average height for a Canadian, but I'm constantly having to slouch down while inside tending to plants. It would make for a great product if it were at least 1 foot taller. After one grow, I ended up moving back to the 2X4 tents as they're easier on the back. More supporting equipment, but better grow experience.

Product arrived undamaged and well packaged. As with all Vivosun tents they are of the same material type and decent quality and will hold up just fine to normal wear and tear. The 5x5 is perfect for what I require and with the angled ceiling allowing the filter/fan to tuck up nicely out of the way of the lights. Zippers are sturdy but as mentioned some light leaks. To fix this issue iron on low heat with starch and this virtually goes away. All said and done the Vivosun tents are well worth the money for a nice entry price point.I highly recommend the 5x5 or any Vivosun tent for that matter!

Pros:1) easy to set up2) strong fabric... no worries about tearing3) relatively inexpensive4) 2 zippered doors for easy access to plants in the back5) removable fabric tray on the bottom for easy cleanup6) sturdy frame... no concerns about hanging lights or the tent collapsingCons:1) the zipper on the larger door sometimes gets a little stuck. The fabric hasn't gotten caught in the zipper... the zipper doesn't open or close totally smoothlynote: I haven't had this tent for long enough to comment on long term durability... for example: I don't know if the uv from the grow lights will make the fabric brittle over time ...Conclusion: I'm very happy with this tent and would buy it again if I had the space. I would recommend it!
